Waste of a thread.
btw, how many threads are left? And when they're all used up - what happens?Waste of a thread.
Ridiculous thread, but okay, I'll bite.Put a camera on Brady and I doubt you can tell the frustration he feels when his teammates screw up. Manning makes no secret of it.Another difference: 3 rings for Brady and 1 for Manning.Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
I bet your jealousy puts your BP through the roof.It is annoying as hell, I agree. I wonder what the guy is like to play with/for. He's pissed off at everybody if they ever happen to make a mistake. He never looks like he's enjoying himself unless he's on one of his dopey commercials.I'll bet the dude's blood pressure is through the roof.
Not sure why it's such a ridiculous thing to point out. I would imagine when Vinateri watches the tape and sees Manning make the gasface and flail his arms in disgust it doesn't make him feel all warm and fuzzy towards the team leader. I'll bet Peyton feels like a heal when he sees it too.I actually like the guy a lot as a QB and a person but he should work on this.Ridiculous thread, but okay, I'll bite.Put a camera on Brady and I doubt you can tell the frustration he feels when his teammates screw up. I mentioned the BP because he looks like a ball of stress to me. I'm not sure what I did to warrant an attack from you. Is that you Peyton?Merry ChristmasI bet your jealousy puts your BP through the roof.It is annoying as hell, I agree. I wonder what the guy is like to play with/for. I agree. I think it's a worthy topic because Peyton is the only one you see doing this on a consistent basis. Not sure why it's such a ridiculous thing to point out. Players deserve "the face" when they screw up. I bet you come from the generation of "you're ok, and I'm ok", and "everyone gets a trophy for participating", and "inside voice", and "let's not hurt his feelings". You're definitely not OK with this topic. Wow!Players deserve "the face" when they screw up. I'd say not showing up teammates is a good thing. Is this good or bad?Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
Does it really make a difference? He shows his emotions, big deal. Yes he looked like a little baby after Vinatieri missed the fg before half, but so does Brady running toward the ref tugging on his jersey every time he throws an incompletion. What do you want him to do? Sit there? Show no emotion? I'm sure some of it wasn't all about Vinatieri missing the kick, I think some of it had to do with the play calling down there. You have Manning whose 15 for 15 and 2nd and 5 and you hand the ball off twice to a RB averaging 1 ypc. He executed a perfect drive and ended up with nothing to show for it, how would you feel? Not sure why it's such a ridiculous thing to point out. He shouldn't feel all warm and fuzzy. He just missed a gimme FG.I would imagine when Vinateri watches the tape and sees Manning make the gasface and flail his arms in disgust it doesn't make him feel all warm and fuzzy towards the team leader.
I'll take that bet.I'll bet Peyton feels like a heal when he sees it too.
Not really.I actually like the guy a lot as a QB and a person but he should work on this.
I say not being overly sensitive is a better thing.I'd say not showing up teammates is a good thing. Is this good or bad?Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
How is it showing up a teammate?I'd say not showing up teammates is a good thing. Is this good or bad?Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
Exactly...wow, you mean an NFL QB is ultra competitive? Really? Is this good or bad?Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
It has nothing to do with showing up his teammates. He is a very competitive guy who is also emotional. It is ok to have fire and show emotion. The key is to not let that emotion affect your play, which he does not. He is a proven winner. He just has a different personality type than Brady. It isn't a bad thing.I'd say not showing up teammates is a good thing. Is this good or bad?Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
I don't know, I guess I'd feel like one of Manning's teammates in the past when you're mounting a comeback and Peyton throws a stupid INT. Good grief, the guy doesn't walk on water.Does it really make a difference? He shows his emotions, big deal. Oh, I don't know. Exactly. He's human, Vinatieri is human, every now and then people make mistakes and it's perfectly acceptable to be disappointed in that, and even show that disappointment. It's not like Manning got into his face and started yelling at him. To me, it isn't showing up a teammate as someone suggested, it shows that he cares about winning the game. He shows just as much disappointment in himself when he throws a stupid INT as he did when Vinatieri missed that kick.I don't know, I guess I'd feel like one of Manning's teammates in the past when you're mounting a comeback and Peyton throws a stupid INT. Good grief, the guy doesn't walk on water.
That's funny - I watched every minute of every game last season, and I don't recall this happening at all.Where is this ridiculous notion that Brady never yells at his teammates coming from? At least when Peyton gets on them it's because they genuinely screwed up. Several times last year Brady sat in the pocket for 6 seconds before getting sacked and then had the nerve to get up in a lineman's face about it.Poor Brady, your elite pass blocking unit only gave you twice as much time to throw as everyone else in the league on that play, better show them how ungrateful you are.
And when that happens I guarantee you that no one is harder on Manning then himself.I have no problem with him showing his emotion. It's better than the Mike Vicks' and Aaron Brooks' of the world laughing and joking on the sidelines when their team is getting creamed.I don't know, I guess I'd feel like one of Manning's teammates in the past when you're mounting a comeback and Peyton throws a stupid INT. Good grief, the guy doesn't walk on water.Does it really make a difference? He shows his emotions, big deal. No, GREAT post. I'm not that old, but I absolutely refuse to raise my children like that. Way too much grey area in the grey matter of developing children and young adults. Right != Wrong.....ever. Lose != Win....ever. Sportsmaship != Poor Sport....ever. Competitive != Lala-everybody-happy....ever. You can be a good sport, good loser, and not like watching other people fail to perform at the level they are capable of for no real reason. Ever see Peyton's face when he makes a terrible mistake? Looks like a carbon copy of "the face" he gives his teamates when they screw-up or lose focus.Ever watch a guy named Micheal Jordan play? Yeah, you bet your ### that his teamates got a lot of "the face" when they weren't D-ing up when they needed to be. ff soapbox now:Players deserve "the face" when they screw up. I bet you come from the generation of "you're ok, and I'm ok", and "everyone gets a trophy for participating", and "inside voice", and "let's not hurt his feelings". That's one of the things that's wrong with our society today :(
Come on man, I absolutely think Brady is overrated by the masses, but he's still one top 2 QB's in the league today and does deserve to be mentioned among the greats. Thats not fair to say b/c of Cassel's "success" Brady is system QB. The system does have a lot to do with it, but Brady made that system virtually unstoppable. Cassel is nowhere near that.Put a camera on Brady and you see him chewing out his lineman on the field. The difference you are looking for is that Manning is one of the all time great QB's. Brady is a media fabrication of greatness as we now see with Cassel's success. Rodney Peete would be a HOF'er in the Pats system.

When does Matt Cassel throw his 50th TD pass of the year for the 14-0 Patriots? Why Me? said:Marvin88 said:Put a camera on Brady and you see him chewing out his lineman on the field. +1If anything, Manning is more of a media fabrication. The bottom line is winning. Manning will get run over by Pittsburgh or any solid defense in the playoffs (again). Brady has never had a stud like James or Harrision on offense. He has only played with Moss for 1 season. He is at least 1 level above ManningYou obviously know very little about NFL football.Marvin88 said:Put a camera on Brady and you see him chewing out his lineman on the field. Salley was a role player.Brady is a leader.Use Michael Jordan as the comparison to Brady's Championships and it will make much more sense.John Salley of the NBA 6 rings- So whatBorat said:Ridiculous thread, but okay, I'll bite.Put a camera on Brady and I doubt you can tell the frustration he feels when his teammates screw up. ...and here....we........GO!Another Manning vs Brady thread. Been a while, I guess.Although I make fun of Deputy Dog as much as the next guy, Brady is known to scream at his teammates on the field, so neither guy is innocent.Having said that, the Manning scowl / throwing of the hands / shaking the head / and walking away move should be patented, as both Peyton and Eli perform the maneuver like no other...Why Me? said:Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.

Ha.....it's funny because it's true.Brady can be a whiney little sissy who screams at his linemen if his pants get a grass stain. He has turned into such a pretty boy since his UM days.Peyton should have all 4 of those things patented......so true. Deputy Dog? Well, that's because Brady isn't with his team, and probably doesn't know until he reads the paper the next dayWhy Me? said:Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
Cassel is in his first year starting, give him time. Comparing a first year starter to a guy who played what, 8 years?, is ridiculous. But Cassel's success this season does show how much/little an impact Brady really has had... put any average QB back there and you have a winning team. Slightly better than average and you can win a couple SBs.Modog814 said:Come on man, I absolutely think Brady is overrated by the masses, but he's still one top 2 QB's in the league today and does deserve to be mentioned among the greats.
