A difference between Peyton and Brady (1 Viewer)

next time manning throws a pick vinatieri should jump off the bench and throw a hissy fit because he just lost out on a chance to kick a fg.
He really should have thrown a fit when Brady collected a SB MVP that Vinatieri really deserved.

Its a fair criticism that Manning is off base... not exactly the team leader there... but why in God's name do we have to bring Brady into the conversation?

Uhh, I thought he was pissed at running on that 3rd down and getting stuffed more than anything.
I still think I'm right. Wouldn't you be frustrated having failed to run the ball out wide with Rhodes on 3rd down when you are like 15/15 passing in the game? His body language said he was pissed at Viniateri but I'm pretty sure what led up to it was what irked him.

I've found from experience that I get the best results as a leader by creating a positive environment and good focus. So I think Brady does things the right way. Yelling and sniping can get good results at first, but then people just start to tune you out or get tired of it, and then you can feel burned out if you do it too much.

Well, if you watched the game last night you would've seen Peyton yelling before they even attempted the field goal. He wasn't happy about the ####ty play calling not giving them a chance to score a TD. The missed field goal, which was basically a chip shot, was just the cherry on his pissed off sundae. Why shouldn't he be angry at all that? He hadn't thrown an incompletion the entire half and they had a chance to tie the game at the half despite a terrible performance by their D. A guy like Manning should want the ball in his hands. He EXPECTS to win and when things don't go right, he shouldn't have to put on a happy face to appease all the easily upset pseudo fans.
This is the second time I've seen it mentioned, PLAY CALLING? Is Manning bi-polar? I thought he calls all the plays at the line of scrimmage? Isnt he like an offensive coordinator on the field? Is that not true now? Doesnt Manning the great have the option to change any play?

Kicker should never be the MVP of a football game. He hit a 48 yard FG in a dome. Big deal. Ty Law, Willie McGinest or Mike Vrabel should have been the MVP but dont give me Vinatieri as the MVP. Ridiculous.

Put a camera on Brady while his kicker attempts a FG and I doubt you can tell if it's a miss or a make.
Ridiculous thread, but okay, I'll bite.Put a camera on Brady and I doubt you can tell the frustration he feels when his teammates screw up. Manning makes no secret of it.Another difference: 3 rings for Brady and 1 for Manning.
Not sure why it's such a ridiculous thing to point out. I would imagine when Vinateri watches the tape and sees Manning make the gasface and flail his arms in disgust it doesn't make him feel all warm and fuzzy towards the team leader. I'll bet Peyton feels like a heal when he sees it too.I actually like the guy a lot as a QB and a person but he should work on this.
Players deserve "the face" when they screw up. I bet you come from the generation of "you're ok, and I'm ok", and "everyone gets a trophy for participating", and "inside voice", and "let's not hurt his feelings". That's one of the things that's wrong with our society today ;)
:lmao: No doubt. If you don't want people to be upset with you, don't screw up. If you do screw up, then accept the responsibility. Not hard. If I disappoint my teammates, you know what? They deserve to be mad at me for a bit, and I'm thankful that they validate all of our efforts by showing how much they want to compete and win.

Brady is an awesome quarterback. So is Manning, who should probably be MVP this season.

The guys saying Cassel's success prove Brady to be overrated...kinda crazy. Cassel's played pretty well. Brady is a hall of famer. The Pats played a very, very easy schedule, and I think some posters use that to fuel an anti-Brady agenda.
