Ordered Aug 3. Arrived today. Good high quality, def not the normal rag off the newsstand. No golden ticket, but, got the info I needed as I don't follow as closely as I used to.

Is this the thread where we discuss the content or start a new one? Here is my question- FBG has Jeanty and Achane a several positions above other people's rankings. That's where I look to get an edge. I'm totaly an board with Achane, like and agree with the analysis. Don't get Jeantry at all. Jeantry feels like Bijian hype all over again. Bijian finished his first year as RB16 and only got his current ranking off of the second half of last years season. Don't see how you guys think Jeanty is going top make top 5 where Bijian couldn't going into a new and similar situation.

Apologies for the frustration. No matter how long ago pre orders were placed, the shipping date was always advertised to be 8/6. We tried to be super clear about that.

All the pre-orders received by mid July shipped on 8/6 via USPS from the printer in Missouri.

It's been super frustrating the USPS delivery has been slow for some as my mail box is full of people angry their magazine hasn't yet arrived.

We struggled with how to do that as well. We could have used the same USPS media mail the shipper did for the ones we shipped. But instead we chose to use first class and still offer free shipping and just eat the $6 on every magazine for shipping. Probably not the best financial decision but seemed like the right thing.

I received my magazine yesterday while I was packing for a move. I had a chance to read Joe's opening comments before getting back to packing. Looking forward to the rest of the magazine. The last magazine I purchased was the last FBG magazine.

If you used USPS media mail I believe the shipping time is typically 2-9 days, not the 3-5 days you were told. I could be mistaken but I don't think magazines qualify for the media mail rate either. Havent used media mail too much so I might be mistaken

I was notified by email the same thing that it shipped on the 6th. Knowing the inner workings of the usps I knew that meant that your printer “notified” the post office was ready for pickup or drop off. It happens all the time with the shop platform. Some vendors even do this to put the onus on the usps even if the product isn’t even ready to ship . I’m hoping I get it by the weekend
This issue is out of your hands , it’s just unfortunately how some finagle the system on shop.

It's a kick in the gut thing here as we spent so much effort in making a great magazine. And I'm super happy with how they came out. But to disappoint so many people with the struggles we've had with USPS shipping has been a huge problem.

I'm just trying to work through the best we can and trying to figure out where things are.

I'm hearing some people are receiving notifications from either the Shopify app or also from USPS if they're signed up for their Informed Delivery service. Some people are saying the expected arrival date is 8/18.

Has anyone seen a notification like that? If so, can you please let me know in detail what it was and what it said?

As I said in the other thread, your magazine was sent on 8/6 as promised from the printer in Missouri. We told people it would be 3-5 business days for delivery and I was wrong there. USPS is taking longer than that and I apologize for the delay.

Please reply to the PM I sent and I will process a full refund for you on the magazine and you can keep the magazine when it arrives as a free gift. Apologies for the trouble.

There's prettymuch a zero chance of Joe doing something like that. Their one mistake was using media mail, which is cheap but sloooooow. What they should have done is offer 1st class shipping for an upcharge - I almost always take that option if offered for anything like this. But that's hindsight - bet they do that next year if they do this again.

I understand the optics suck. It is a shame that preorders get theirs last (I still haven't received mine, and it's not coming today either). But Joe is 100% owning this by offering refunds / sending $10 coupons for FBG merch (I bought a hoodie) / etc. Joe is a good dude - I promise you, he's torn up over this.

I merely responded to this same thread in the FFA that I have not received the magazine yet (in response to a question) - and was not complaining but said that "I was hoping to get to read through it before my draft so I hope it comes soon" and Joe reach out to me unsolicited and offered to mail me out another copy today.

So Joe is being stand up about this and anyone implying there's something nefarious going on is way off base. He may end up losing money when all is said and done by offering "free" copies in addition to the one I paid for.

In corresponding with various members of FBG staff, I believe there was just a big miscommunication problem/ mixup with the pre-orders that, unfortunately, is resulting in the pre-order folks receiving their magazines in a delayed manner.

Yeah let's keep it real folks, sometimes things happen. It's super unfortunate but there is nothing nefarious here FFS. Shouldn't have to defend themselves on that front.

About 3 weeks ago I was depending on a shipment of a new ignition module for my family minivan because it was dying at speed. Whether 5mph or 55mph I would lose power steering, brakes and the engine was off. Deathtrap. Not covered by the recall that covered the same known issue for the model years just prior to mine. So I was on the hook to either pay $2000 or fix it myself for around $400 which I did but sat there waiting for the part to get to me. Very very anxiously. Because that weekend I was supposed to be 300 miles away to attend my mom's best friend's wake, who was like a second mom to me, and by God the part came and I just about tore my shoulder out getting the thing replaced and made the trip (and the new part has been working great). Anyway just an anecdote but perhaps some perspective on the magnitude of severity of a shipment getting to you on time or not.

It's just a magazine. Joe is bending over backwards apologizing and trying to make this right. So let's give him some grace eh. My ten cents.

Mine arrived!

I've only flipped through it to see the overall content but this is a very good magazine on first glance.

First off, the print quality is top tier. This can barely be considered a magazine. It's more like a large paperback book.

What makes these magazines go out of date is the focus on individual player profiles a lot of magazines take. Then players get hurt and all of this is obsolete. Instead of doing this, FBG put a larger emphasis on overall game theory which is much less impacted by training camp news. Yes, there are individual blurbs on players to target/avoid, but there seems to be a far greater emphasis on overall draft theory which is fantastic.

My favorite will certainly be going through the staff mock draft and writeup where each staffer talks about their approach.

I'm hearing some people are receiving notifications from either the Shopify app or also from USPS if they're signed up for their Informed Delivery service. Some people are saying the expected arrival date is 8/18.

Has anyone seen a notification like that? If so, can you please let me know in detail what it was and what it said?

That if it says a Monday delivery, you would expect it to likely arrive Thursday or Friday?

Yes. Some of this is a guess and some of this experience and some of this is trusting what was communicated to you via your vendor. But I suspect that on Aug 4th your vendor printed out whatever number of shipping labels and provided that information to the post office. By Aug 6th or 7th they dropped off the pallets of all of these to the MARCELINE,MO post office. (You have said from Missouri.) Normally when the items are dropped off like this there is a "Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending" status meaning that your package is among a bunch of others that was dropped off. As you see I didn't get this status at any point, which is disappointing as it would be super helpful for you to know. That is assuming that this is what happened here.

Anyway, eventually the post office opens the pallets and scans individual items, this is the "Accepted at USPS Origin Facility". This seems to be post office dependent for how long it sits. And I guess it is also dependent on other volumes. In my experience however once that happens the package usually gets to me sooner than the post office states as long as it hits the correct facilities. Frustrating delays after this point happen when the package bounces between facilities. I guess gets placed on the wrong truck. If this happens then I'm not getting it on the 18th either. But if it doesn't, and it usually doesn't I suspect that it gets here sooner than the 18th.

Also note, I ordered 5 magazines so maybe mine is packaged differently from singles? Hopefully I'm not teasing you and others with my expectations that turn out false, or just that I live in the right place for such things.

Anxiously waiting for it to arrive. I don't see it in informed delivery on the USPS site though. Hopefully tomorrow. My first big draft of the year is Saturday so I want to consume as much of it as I can before then.

Mine just showed up in 'USPS informed delivery' this afternoon (after today's mail was delivered); it's scheduled for a Thursday delivery (I'm in PA and pre-ordered in July)
