In my league he has only scored 36 points. Even if he is healthy it looks like a rbbc and he is not the goal line back. Is anyone still keeping him on there team? Do anyone think he could or can turn it around?

Good, you all made me feel much better. I droped him yesturday for Seattle. (for next week matchup play SF and balt plays cinc)

I dropped Green for Grant on Monday, and another owner picked up Green off waivers for LaMont Jordan yesterday. I actually think Jordan has better potential than Green, so I might end up trying to grab him off the wire...

He was 31-144-1 (4.65 YPC) in the first two weeks of the year, before he was hurt. He had over 1400 total yards rushing and receiving last year. He's getting healthy and will be back just fine after their week 10 bye, in time for the playoff push and playoffs, and both Schaub and Andre Johnson will be back up to speed then too. Houston's schedule in weeks 11-16 shows: NO, @CLE, @TEN, TB, DEN, @IND (I especially like the home game vs DEN in week 15 fantasy playoffs).

I think it's a major mistake for anyone in 12 team leagues or larger to quit on Ahman prematurely. Patience will be rewarded.

I don't know where you got the idea that he's not the GL back, or is on a RBBC. When healthy, the only time another back gets in there is when it's a blowout (weeks 1-2) or when he needs a breather. Green is one of the better GL backs in the league.

Health is another issue. I expect he'll sit again this week w/ the bye next week. He'll be good to go after 2 weeks to rest the knee.

I'm holding him for the same reasons, CP. We think alike.

Kicked him to the curb 3 weeks ago for a Special Teams. Not a De/St, just a ST
Was my #4 behind Westy, Portis, and Lamont. Looks like Lamont might be gone soon (if SP rumors are true). Probably will drop him and lamont if that happens and pick up Buckhalter/Betts for handcuffs.

A healthy Green could really help a FF team down the stretch, but will we ever see a healthy Green?

Excellent ?, based on what is available I'm holding and hoping I make it that far to find out. Dayne is clearly not the answer, and Joe E. is already injured.

Someone dropped him this week in our 16 team, 16 roster spot league. That is saying something. The guy was hurting for RB's too.
That says panic, nothing more.Edited to add: The owner probably needs production now to make the playoffs.

Health is obviously the biggest issue but if he's on your waiver wire he's definitely worth a spot because he's the best rb on the roster on a team that likes to run, has a decent schedule and some weapons returning from injury.

What is Joe E.'s status? Is he likely to play this weekend, and has Green been ruled out for Sunday?

I've held on this long for just these reasons, I'm gonna give him another week to see if he's gonna be healthy at all.

I've not seen anything definitive on Joe. Green appears to be headed for Probable. Just like last week... Except this week he would have a very tasty matchup, but my only late switch option is to bench McGahee vs Pittsburgh. That's a risk I don't think I can take.

as per yahoo:

Nov 3 Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans RB Ahman Green (knee), RB Adimchinobi Echemandu (hamstring) and RB Ron Dayne could all suit up Week 9, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. "Ahman has had a good week of practice," Kubiak said. "He's ready to go. Adimchinobi looks fine, has looked fine. We may end up suiting all three of them just to be smart. We'll see."
about as clear as mud.

this is a team whose coaching (both kubiak and capers) have been extremely fickle with who they give the rock to, save for about a 10 game stretch of health with dom davis, and have never hesitated to throw whoever's hot into the fire.

ahman green is 50 years old, has lost whatever he ever had, is as fragile as a thin sheet of glass, but most importantly, has absolutely been awful this season. if he is indeed active tomorrow, i'm sure he will start and get a little over half the carries if he can make it through the whole game, but there's no chance kubial overlooks echemandu's 10 for 66 last week. he will get the rest of those carries, and dayne will either be inactive (if green plays), or get no carries.

next week, if echemandu has another good game tomorrow and green runs like he's stuck in the mud as usual, echemandu will be starting, or, at the least, get the vast majority of the carries, and will be fantasy-worthy.

so, i'd say echemandu is a better than average flier, and ahman is approaching worthlessness.

You can tell Kubiak is a Shanny disiple!

We should have a pinned thread on Green... not only do some owners out there have Green, but many may be interested due to having Joe Echemandu and possibly usng him as a bye week replacement/injury filler.

Did Kubiak make any statements last week along the lines of "he's ready to go"? Is a team allowed to list someone as probable two weeks in a row and then scratch them each time? (So many questions).

Anyone seen an inactives list for the Texans?

Schaub leads list of inactives for today

The Texans have released their inactive players for today. They include Matt Schaub, Jamar Fletcher, Shantee Orr, Kasey Studdard, Jordan Black, Brandon Frye, Andre Johnson and Jeb Putzier.
