A modest proposal re: J. Brown. (1 Viewer)

Whereas:

  • The Arizona Cardinals have WRs on their roster named John Brown and Jaron Brown
  • All of the major sports apps refuse to stick a vowel after the "J" in the first names of both Arizona WRs named Brown
  • The two men look enough alike that it is impossible to tell them apart based on the miniscule headshots that appear in such apps as Yahoo
  • Anyone glancing at said apps and trying to figure out which Brown they're talking about is forced to click through to their player profile
  • It is impossible to know on a weekly basis which J. Brown to start
  • Palmer's injury depresses the value of all Cardinals WRs even further
  • This turn of events represents the greatest source of confusion since both WRs named Steve Smith were briefly fantasy-relevant
Be it resolved:

  • Fantasy players should be able to draft "J. Brown" and get the combined stats of both men for only one roster spot.
Who's with me?

They usually put an "O" on for John Brown.

It is just after his last name, in the "INJ" column  :fro:

For now, I am putting bench in front of them, behind them, underneath them and around them anywhere.

I'll just know "Hey, there's that J. Brown guy on my bench.......... thats where he will stay".

Jokes aside OP, this is one of the very few cases, where the players full name should be displayed on the apps. (their names are short enough too, so it should be easily done)

I remember when Mike Bell and Tatum Bell were splitting carries at RB in Denver in 2006, Bill Simmons had a similar proposal, the composite player was to be known as "Uber Bell".
