Aaron Curry? (1 Viewer)

Guy can't scrape double digits and suddenly he puts up 23.5 in my league this week. What happened? Was there an adjustment in line up or scheme or how he was used? Did he just play out of his head? Anybody watch?

Didn't notice anything different. Clemons and Curry were feeding off each other and I think Clemons was the more disruptive of the two. The Cardinals were terrible up front yesterday and Anderson has zero pocket presence, but Curry is starting to come into his own I think.

I thought I read somewhere that they were using him more as a DT or something? Maybe I am wrong.

ETA: Seahawks SLB Aaron Curry was used some at defensive tackle Sunday in passing situations.

Curry had his best effort of the season against the Cardinals, notching a season-high eight tackles while also recording a pair of sacks and a forced fumble. The Seahawks got to quarterback Derek Anderson five times as a team, with Chris Clemons also notching a pair of sacks to push his season total to 7.5.

That's correct. Sorry to not have been more detailed about "not noticing anything different" in the last post. There was a new role in a subpackage for him, but it didn't affect his stats. He was used as a NT in one subpackage last week and once (and possibly more) as a 3-technique defensive tackle that I noticed. There were no changes in the base defense and he's been used as a 3-technique in nickel situations at times since the bye week. The NT snaps were new, as I think they'd used Craig Terrill there last week and I don't think that package was used much after the Giants got their big lead. I'm not sure the NT snaps are high leverage, however, as that package features a three man line and seven defensive backs and he was regularly double teamed. It's also likely that Brandon Mebane sees those snaps (with Curry kicking outside) when healthy. One of Curry's sacks came as the 3-tech when Derek Anderson was flushed from the pocket and refused to throw the ball away and Curry pursued well to run him out of bounds well behind the LOS. The other, in which he also caused a fumble, came on a very nice edge rush from the DE position.
