Actors/Actresses who have made a ton of money by being medicore (1 Viewer)

To really qualify you need to be pleasant/nice look at best and an average actor at best while making a fortune.

I mentioned Juliana Marguiles earler.

Judd Hirsch comes to mind now.

Jennifer Jason Leigh as well.
I don't think any of those made the money that puts them in the "ton of money" category. The highest of these three seems JM at 22 Mil. Compared to Keannu Reeves at 350 million it's a blip.
You are right. Hirsch and Leigh are poor examples.

JM has to have made more then that right? Got to be making 500k an episode on The Good Wife with 22+ episodes a year. Not to mention the long ER run.

Most of these answers are horrible. You're all horrible.
People read questions like these as, "List popular actors you don't like."

To say Tom Hanks is mediocre isn't bold, it's goofy.
I actually think Tom Hanks is the perfect example. He's been in some good or topical movies, but what are his great performances? In every role he's basically just the inoffensive, likeable doofus. Even when he played a gangster in Road to Perdition, was basically the same thing.

You're right. Like in Philadelphia, what a doofus!
Hanks for the most part is a very good actor. If an actor can make me forget who they are in real life, then they are a good actor IMO. Hanks has done that several times with movies like Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Cast Away, Road to Perdition, and more. But he's mailed in some performances as well (That Thing You Do, DaVinci Code)

First one that came to mind.
He's won 2 Oscars.
he's still decidedly mediocre in most of his movies. I'll admit to liking Conair, but his performance was not good.

He's been mentioned already, but Adam Sandler was the first person who came to mind.
He gets paid for making the same movie over and over.
he's probably the most likeable guy in Hollywood (Fallon is close) but completely agreed.
