Updating previous items, Joseph Addai (knee) was held out of Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Addai was listed on the Week 3 injury report with a "knee." He was able to play through it, but was ineffective against the Broncos. While the Colts do often hold out players on Fridays as a precaution, it's possible that Addai aggravated the injury. With Donald Brown (hamstring) almost certainly out, Mike Hart has a chance to start against the Jaguars. Pick him up. Oct. 1 - 2:36 pm et

Funny. I just did this exact same thing. Dropped Mike Thomas for the guy. I'm not exactly sure that the Colts are going to hold him out. It's strange that the Colts would be listing his as probable through today, though, and would just change him up to questionable today. Is this truly a reflection of his injury status or is this just they playing the "game"?

I have a feeling they are playing the "game", but this is one situation I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Seriously, why would they do this against possibly the worst team in the NFL?

I'm gonna doubt he is too injured to play...

IF he is though... that makes my team: best, sjax, witten, and addai (all starters) all hurt.

Austin Collie is also listed as questionable.

Addai practiced fully on Wednesday and Thursday so they probably just held him out as a precaution.

It seems like a lot of FF success or failure this season may be based on who has the ability to get NFL news quickly and pick up people off WW quickly.

which they very often do. I'm not worried unless I hear something more worrying from someone in the organization

Because of all the players on the Colts' offense Addai is the most feared?!

in a one game start, assuming Addai and Thomas out - who has better value Hart against Jags or Betts against Panthers? Or do they both suck and both teams throw all game long?

I can undoubtedly say that following sigmund bloom, adam schefter, and peter king on twitter has given me an edge this season that i've never had before.

Joseph Addai has been listed as Probable on the injury report.

Donald Brown has been downgraded to Doubtful on the injury report.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but don't the injury reporting rules have guidelines about missing practice and how it affects the official status for that weekend's games? I'm pretty sure that a missed practice automatically means questionable. We've seen this with people missing practice for non-football or non-injury related things and still be reported as questionable. I agree that until I hear something about him re-injuring the knee or something to that effect i'm not going to panic. This has been a maddening week with RBs though. Between the bye weeks starting, injuries, and the general committee approach many teams use anyway there is a scramble for the scraps of carries available on the WW.

This seems similar to the Pierre Thomas situation. If Addai plays, how much? This is a potential blow out game so Hart could be used more. This seems like a better situation then deciding between Ivory/Betts.

Updating previous items, Joseph Addai is listed with a knee injury on the Week 4 injury report.

The Indianapolis Star called it an "ankle" in a Friday blog post, but that information is incorrect. Addai was also listed on the Week 3 injury report with the "knee," but played through it, only averaging 2.2 yards per carry. He did not practice Friday, which is the main concern. Donald Brown (hamstring) is listed as questionable, but is not expected to play at Jacksonville. We'll know there's concern about Addai's injury if the Colts sign another running back before game day.

Scrubs galore...which one do you go with in a week where you only have 1 back.

Man...Hart, Ivory, Betts...it's brutal.

An Indianapolis Star story on the Colts' Friday practice does not mention Joseph Addai (knee) as having missed the workout.

Addai did not practice, but the Star apparently has deemed Addai's knee injury too minor to address. Another blog post by beat writer Phillip B. Wilson considered Addai likely to play against the Jaguars, though Wilson had no further information on his injury. Addai is an excellent RB2 start if he does play, but owners should have Mike Hart rostered as game-day insurance. Oct. 1 - 3:14 pm et

Addai is a pretty tough dude. I would guess he'll play, but maybe rest at some point if it becomes a blowout.

Does Hart get all of the garbage time in the 2nd half after Manning and the receivers put this game way in the first?

I picked up Hart to cockblock the guy I'm playing who owns Addai to maybe force his hand since the Colts play during the second wave. Playing Hart, though, seems like a horrible idea. Are we even sure it'd be Hart and not Devin Moore? Anyone know the whereabouts of Devin Moore?

Doesn't Hart run like a 6.7 40 ?

I don't get it; this has him as 'full participation.'

6.7 40? That's a stupid exaggeration. He runs it in 5.34 seconds. Jeff Saturday routinely beats him when they race at practice. This whole post is a lie by the way.
In any case... Betty White and a bag of Snickers might be a better option.

He practiced fully on Thursday, but not on Friday. They're just resting him IMO because of his knee last week and knowing Brown isn't going to be able to play.

This is my take on the situation. I upgraded his stats knowing that Brown won't play. Mike Hart should see limited action only in my opinion.

Be amusing if you can field a lineup of Darby, Tolbert, and Mike Hart this weekend and put up a strong week. Of the 3 even if Mathews plays I like Tolbert for a solid 12-14 points and with injuries the other two could be there too. Mix in a little BGJE, Torain, Hillis, Ivory?, Lynch, Maroney, Snelling, and Brandon Jackson and this is a year where you've dodged a mine field if you are still starting your original RB's. Makes a case for taking the stud WR's, QB's, and TE's early.

Getting back to Hart I just snagged him where I could afford to dump someone. If he starts he's a lock for a decent day with upside. If he doesn't start you gave up another flier. If either injury proves serious he could actually end up with more value than we think.

 and add in JAX + the CAR, NYG, AZ and DAL rbbcs underperforming. lots of painful (for now) 5th round and earlier picks there.

Oh, and let's not forget, next year there will be 18 regular season games (2 extra) for the injuries to add up.

Although I agree Addai will probably start and could be a great play this week with Brown out, how in the world are the Jags going to keep up with Manning and the Colts this week? Manning is looking fantastic so far. With a banged up Jags defense, he should have a field day. Last week we saw Brown come in later in the game and rack up some stats. Hart could get that opportunity this week as well. If the Colts jump out to an early lead, which they most likely will, you could possibly see them rest Addai and see what they have in Hart. There would be no reason to keep their semi-injured starting RB in the game late if it's out of hand. Stranger things have happened, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Hart outscore Addai for that specific reason. Addai would have to get a lot of touches in the first half of this game to be successful. Unless of course the Jags can stay with them this week....not sure I am too confident they can.http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/nfl-draft/NF...-Highlights-180
