Adjustments to your roster (1 Viewer)

I was curious to how the champions build their team come playoff time. 90% is already in place, but do you add an additional defense to play the best matchups? Do you add that additional TE? Just curious.

Also, I have a few players on the WW that might be worth picking up for insurance and depth. Do I add a handcuff to my RBs, and if so, which one(s). I have 1 open roster spot to fill. What should I fill it with? Also, based on the ones listed below, are their any that would be an upgrade over my current lineup, and who/why?

QB: Fitz, Hasselbeck, Cassel, Kolb, Romo, Bradford

RB: Forsett, Lynch, Ringer, Torain, Cadillac, Ward, Hightower, Sproles

WR: Harvin, Britt, Steve Smith (NYG), Mike Williams (SEA), James Jones

D/ST (For playing matchups during FF playoffs with Steelers): Bucs, Saints, Falcons, Chargers, 49ers

This is not the ACF.What kind of league do you play in that any of those guys are even on the WW?
How do I move it to the ACF?
Start a new thread over there.....or wait for a mod to move it........eventually it will get moved. But to answer your first question.....I've already added a second defense to play match-ups (if need be) and I'm always looking for any kind of upgrade at any position. If there is some player out there that likely will produce better than one I've got (due to injury, recent lack of production or a change in surrounding personnel), I try to land him on waivers. I find that if I consistently keep my eyes open all season long and evaluate my team with an honest approach, I'm in pretty good shape for a deep playoff run. Sure, sometimes I make mistakes by dropping a player too soon for another up-and-comer, but you learn to live with it. (ex. - dropped Blount only a couple weeks after picking him up, and another owner scooped him up and used him to hand me my first loss of the season back in week 8.)

Once bye weeks are finished, I do two things...

1. look for free agents...esp wrs, with great playoff matchups - but even Ks that play dome or good weather games.

2. drop RB4 or RB4 and 5 to pickup handcuffs to RB1 and RB2 if available.

This could be a good Shark Pool topic if it's wasn't so OP specific.

I'll try to answer it strategy wise.

Who to add to your roster depends on who you have. Picking up a marginal player on the WW generally won't get you a championship. You should handcuff a stud or play matchups (specifically with the defense or maybe even your kicker or QB)

If your RB's are chris Johnson, Arian Foster and a bunch of garbage then J.Ringer or D.Ward would make sense. If you also have somebody like Peyton Hillis then you're 3 deep so it would probably make more sense to fill the empty roster spot to play matchups at another position.
