Adrian Peterson is unbelievable (1 Viewer)

He's probably the first case of a torn ACL actually making him better. He's a mutant, he belongs on the X-Men, not the Vikings.

It's also amazing that he's doing this with a HIDEOUS quarterback and zero complimentary weapons on the field.

Starting to remind me a lot of Barry Sanders, absolutely a BEAST with no supporting cast. Makes what he is doing even more impressive.

950 yds in past 6 games... Unfreaking believable

even if i don't win any money this year, it has just been awesome having him on both my teams, and watching him progress from week to week to where he is at now... just incredible how good this guy is

On pace for nearly 2,000 yards rushing on the season. Wowza.
with 4 games left and a couple vs. tough run defenses i'd be surprised if he hit 2k, but 1900 yards isn't out of the question and that's a historically fantastic season coming off a horrid acl injury.is his season more a testament to modern medicine? will guys be coming off these acl injuries better moving forward?or is it just how awesome this guy is? most likely a little of both, right?

It would be unprecedented, no?

:goodposting: He looks better than he ever has. And he's running more violently than ever. Guy is super human.

I was a doubter and he's not on any of my teams (well, except my dynasty team). I really misjudged him this year.

The lone bright spot of my pathetic, last place, 4-9 season is that I will have the #1 pick next year and Adrian Peterson will be available for me to pair with Andrew Luck.

It looks like the Vikes have decided to gameplan to just give Peterson the ball as much as possible. First drive = 5 AD runs, 1 Ponder pass on 3rd and 8. Result = TD and 7-0 lead.

Bears' first opening drive TD allowed all season. They must have been surprised that the Vikings were handing the ball off to this #28...

Even when teams know exactly what they're going to do, AD just runs right through them. Unreal...

2nd drive = 3 AD runs. Result = TD and 14-0 lead.Much improved play calling from the Vikes' staff this week...

they should run it every down.
Last possession they tried to get fancy with 2 pass plays and 2 run plays, resulting in their first punt. This drive, 2 runs for AD = 2 first downs already.End of first quarter, he has 104 yards and 2 TD's. Amazing when the Bears have 9 men in the box trying to stop him.

After the 2 first downs, they try to pass on first down, incomplete, 1 run, and another pass play. Result = another punt.I don't know why they don't keep running AD until they stop him. Each time they try to get fancy by passing, they end up punting.

Well I think if Peterson runs the ball 50 times his legs will fall off. But he'll also break some MFing records in the process. :excited:

The NFL record is 45 carries, and he was on pace to break that after the first quarter. 48 carries for 416 yards and 8TD's would be a nice line.More likely, if they kept running, he'd get about 30 carries for well over 200 yards and build a big lead, and then Gerhart would carry it the rest of the way to seal the game. Unless they wanted him to break more records...

I'm down for that...

After a slow start this week, Peterson breaks an 82-yard run for a TD and is on pace for yet another great game and probably leading lots of teams to a fantasy championship. Amazingly, he could break 2000 yards before a year has passed since he tore his ACL.

With RGIII down this week for many teams' championship, Peterson's got to be the fantasy MVP this season, as he's far outperformed expectations and is coming through big time down the stretch when it counts most for fantasy teams.

Ponder and Peterson complete 3rd downs of 5 or less yards at the same rate (~45%).

Coming into today, he needed 133.3 yards/game to reach 2000 yards. He already has 212 yards. Dickerson's record is within reach now.

He sure looks like the fantasy MVP, likely leading my team to a championship...

Now he needs only 94 yards/game to reach 2000 yards, and 147 yards/game the last 2 weeks to break Dickerson's record. Definitely doable the way he's been running...

293 to go ...
294 to break it -- it would be sweet if he can break it next week against the Texans, while also breaking his own single-game rushing record. That's not likely, though, against such a tough Texans D -- it would also be awesome for him to break it in the final week against the hated Packers.

Yah...I don't really see a record performance next week, but I could see getting to 150+. I'd not be too concerned if he doesn't get the 147 he needs to stay on pace, with GB last and likely with nothing to play for at that point. (I guess they could be playing for a bye)

Formerly great Texans D. They allowed 281.6 yards per game over their first 9 games, good for 2nd in the league. Gave up 439.0 yards per game over the next 4, dead last in the league. Had a good game against the (wildly overrated) Colts this week, but they've looked very vulnerable recently. Still, 300 rushing is unrealistic regardless of how good or bad the opponent is. It's all going to come down to the Packers game.
