Adrian Peterson's Nickname (1 Viewer)

Seems like in every other thread someone is referring to Adrian Peterson as "A.D." and within a few posts after has someone asking who "A.D." is....his initials are "A.P.", yadda, yadda, yadda.

Adrian Peterson's nickname is "A.D." and it stands for "All Day"

Peterson's father gave him that nickname when he was a young boy because he could run all day long.

That's it, that's the story, and that's his nickname for those in the know.

ADP - "All Day Peterson" - 1.01 in rookie drafts.

While I do agree with you Jeff, I'm going to be very interested to see where he lands. There does not seem to be a good fit for him anywhere in the top 10, other than Houston and I just don't get the feeling that they will draft him.

i'm actually hoping cleveland takes him. still a few backs in houston and it isn't encouraging how kubiak had no rhyme or reason to platoon them the way they did last year. at least droughns had the workload in cleveland.

Something tells me he wouldn't use a platoon approach if he had Adrian Peterson on the roster. As far as where he's likely to end up, I'd say Houston, Minnesota, and Cleveland look like decent bets. I suppose a team like the Jets, Giants, or Ravens could move up to take him, but that would be a bit of a surprise.

His father remarked when AP was younger, he could run all day. It caught on, and people started calling him AD - All Day.

People communicate to share information. Using abbreviations of nicknames to refer to players is getting ridiculous. I cringe everytime someone uses "AD" in a thread because a few posts later you get "who is AD..." By the time the season starts the whole "AD"..."Who is AD..." shtick is going to be pretty old.
