Does anyone know why Adrian Wilson's numbers are down this year? I know it's only been two weeks but the guy has been the most consisitent DB scorer the last two years. Is there something with Whisenhunt's scheme that is affecting his numbers?

Week 1 (6-4-0, PD) would've been his fifth highest weekly output in 2006 by FBG scoring. He had three games with less points last year than his Week 2 output (3-2-0). I think I'd agree that Wilson is among the most consistent DB scorers, but there's still plenty of variability when considering one week snapshots.Against the Niners, Wilson was being used very similarly to his 2006 role. Frequently in the box, often on the LOS as a pass rusher on nickel downs. 3-4 SS have two ILB in front of them rather than just one, but the front seven still faces the same number of blockers as they would in a 4-3. I wouldn't be concerned about Wilson yet.
