As tonight's game features the Texans/Cowboys thought I'd get a jump on this while Bobby Lane sleeps off his victory Monday hangover.

Lions are the most complete team right now. Strangely they seem to have kicked into another gear once Hutchinson went down.

Voting Lions. Tops in DVOA and eye test.

The Chiefs have plummeted down to fifth in DVOA behind DET, BAL, BUF, and MIN.

There's still an inkling of me that thinks the Chiefs may still be the best but we wont see that until the playoffs.

Can't believe how many good teams we have right now at this point in the season.

Lions 9-1
Chiefs 9-1
Bills 9-2
Eagles 8-2
Steelers 8-2
Vikings 8-2

I do think the Bills and Lions are a step ahead of the rest of the pack though.

3 losses but GB is really good as well.

There are other veteran teams with more losses who could peak at right time. That and who stays healthy.

Detroit has been a juggernaut but that’s no guarantee they’ll be playing their best ball in January. Long, long, long ways to go.

3rd, behind only 2007 Patriots and 1991 Washington.

The Lions have positive DVOA in every game this season.

1 Lions - Most complete

2 Bills
3 Chiefs

4 ravens - I still think they have a good chance to be in the Super Bowl this year
5 eagles
6 Steelers - Tomlin proving he’s an elite coach
7 Vikings

8 chargers - coaching matters
9 commanders- most surprising all around
10 packers

HM broncos, Texans

Philly is coming up along the outside, that could be a team that takes Detroit out. There is a lookahead game between Buffalo and Detroit that could be for the MVP.

1991 Washington.
The most-forgotten great team of all time? They were a steamroller, man.

Lions fans remember.

We opened the season by losing at Washington 45-0.

Went 11-4 RoS, two 5-game winning streaks sandwiched around a 1-3 stretch in the middle. Received a bye and beat Dallas 38-6 (the triplets were just starting to come into their own) in the divisional round. That was Detroit's only playoff win 1958-2022 (65 seasons), a period in which they went 0-8 on the road in the postseason and 1-11 overall.

We ended the 1991 season demonstrating how much we had improved since Week 1. Only lost the NFCCG 41-10.

That was the Lions only conference championship appearance of the Super Bowl era before last season.

The Redskins (as they were then known) beat Detroit 22 times in a row when they were the home team, over a 78 year span (1935-2013). Probably a few NFL records in that statement.

Good to see that all the KC voters over the last month have seen the error of their ways.
What error? The Chiefs were the unquestioned best team as long as they were undefeated. The games matter. After last week, it makes more sense now to say that the Lions could be the best team.

The Bills have a solid argument as well.

I am still chuckling at the idea that it could be the Ravens. Good luck with a defense that atrocious.

The ravens about to lose a bunch more games

Philly looks the strongest in the trenches. The D is really coming on. If that sticks, this team is going to be tough to beat.

Disagree. The games do matter and a team winning convincingly in most games and losing one demonstrates they are better than a team squeaking most weeks.

Idk if they are stronger than the Lions in the trenches. The matchup that Detroit may miss Hutch though vs Barkley.
