Carolina is much better against the pass than the run. Assuming (big assumption there, I know) Gilbride and Coughlin are more privy to that than Childress/Favre and run the ball a lot so if we see a total of less than 100 yards rushing form the Giants, I think we've see a Carolina win.

Sirius NFL Radio actually talked about this a little this week after I e mailed Adam Shein (early in the week). I can't seem to find peope that present a compelling argument that Jacobs is the man here.

been a good while since he coached there but....I'm curious what Fox will have up his sleeve today

OK so you're the Giants management. You head into off season. You have Ware. You have Jacobs. You have Bradshaw. I don't think RB is a need in the draft. I think direction and focus on who to feature is the issue at this position.

What do you do heading into training camp? Do you announce it's a competition? Do you continue to hang your hat on the RBBC approach? Or do you talk about featuring the guy whose YPC average is more than a yard better? I see one hang up in that last approach, being that you piss off the giant (no pun intended) angry running back who went into a boxing stance against Albert Freakin' Haynseworth the other night.

I think Bradshaw outplayed Jacobs this season, without doubt, and should be the 'starter' heading into next year.

I love Bradshaw and think he is the most talented back but I don't see him being a 300 carry guy. Whether he starts or not--whether it is Jacobs, Ware or someone new, I see Bradshaw continuing to share carries. He isn't a change of pace back as some like to say because he CAN run between the tackles and he can run short yardage well. But both he and Jacobs have been dinged up all year eventhough they shared carries. I don't think either one can be the guy alone. I give credit to Bradshaw for playing hurt all year and you have to expect he will have off season surgery.

Surgery or not, i still think the Giants are nuts to head into next training camp without the job being an open compeition...if not Bradshaws

Both will get a lot of carries next year. There is no 'bell cow' running back on this roster. It really doesn't matter who gets the first carry of the game.
