Ahmad Carroll Arrested. (1 Viewer)

He had a baker's 10 pack, please. I've seen people eat 10 of those in one night. I don't think I am going to elaborate but believe me I have seen bags with a ton of those inside them...11 is not distribution. Maybe if he had like 500 on him.
Now we understand why you are defending him. Done some X lately hey?

I understand the need to pile on and make fun of people blessed making tons of money and squandering those opps by being arrested for drugs and guns. 1st of all it is legal to have a gun in this country...it didn't say he held up a convenience store, it didn't say he marched into a bank and opened fire, it didn't say he threatened people with the gun. Have some perspective here. I could pull the racist card out at this point but I'll refrain from it.

And as far as drugs go...what drugs? If its pot I really don't give a spit, if he had a kilo of cocaine...well now we have something to talk about here.

People hate him because he was a 1st round bust but we all have made mistakes in our lives, try not to be the tool that runs and laughs in the face of those we are simply jealous of.
I mean, are you Ahmad Carroll's lawyer? :o First off MoP, you have to realize something -- we are a nation of laws. We are supposed to follow these laws, whether you like them or not.

Second, it IS legal to have a gun in this country. I'm a huge advocate of the 2nd amendment, and I don't even own a gun! HOWEVER, it even said in the article that he was carrying a concealed weapon..... WITHOUT A LICENSE! That, sir, is against the law...

Third, you could "pull the racist card out at this point..."? Ohh please... :goodposting: Were you or I there? No. For all we know, he was arrested by all-black officers. Who really knows? Why do people almost immediately jump to the conclusion that it was racially motivated, simply because he was black? Ridiculous...

Fourth, as far as the drugs are concerned. Quit trying to justify it. You're right that it wasn't a kilo of cocaine or anything of the sort. But again, going back to my first point -- we are a nation of laws. You carry illegal drugs, the key word being ILLEGAL, then you must face the consequences. And believe me, I'm politically one who thinks the entire "War on Drugs" is a complete waste of time, and they should be made legal and taxed heavily (and this coming from someone who has never done an illegal drug in his life)! If we feel that certain types or certain amounts of drugs shouldn't be illegal (like pot, for example), then we need to change the laws! If it's illegal, it's illegal! End of story...

Finally, we all have made mistakes. Some, like Carroll, have made much bigger ones than others. It IS easy for those of us in the cheap seats to take shots at targets like this. That, I will agree with. I hope he gets some help before he completely squanders his life, or worse, ends up dead...
Some nights I like to go grab a donut and coffee around 1-2AM, especially when I am putting threads and articles for other sites together...and Is ee the nightclubs and bars emptying out and people getting into their cars and driving off. Mostly white people here in Santa Monica...all these people should be pulled over and given a breathalizer test...most would fail, go to jail, I imagine they could but hundreds of people every night if they wanted to...so why don't they? Its against the law big time and they can kill someone for driving drunk. But most of these people are white, live in an affluent community, and the police turn a blind eye to it I feel. Why? maybe it isn't racisim, but a lot of judgemental people on this board have driven ho,e drunk either form a party or bar probably in the last 12 months...some in the last couple weeks for sure. But when someone gets a DUI, it has become so common that its not a big deal. This guy had a gun and a few recreational pills and we are ready to nail him to the cross...where is the perspective here?

And the lawyer joke was funny...I laughed out loud for real.
:lmao: you can say this about any club/bar in America.
That's the point really. It's against the law and yet nothing is done about it...why? Where are all the people that are piling on Carroll in here...where are they at 1-2 in the morning? Sleeping I'm sure but maybe they should get a rally going and bring down the late night bar/club scene...but that generates money which in some form or fashion trickles its way into their pockets so that law that is broke...that's OK in their book. Pickign and choosing which laws are OK idoes not make one a better person.
I'll bite. I'm out until bar time on the weekends and I know dozens of others that are out also. None of us carry illegal drugs or fire arms. At 1-2 in the morning I am usually waiting for my cab. So quit lumping everyone in one basket, people do go out and obey the law.

With the hard-line approach the NFL is taking, this is not about being racist.Being racist would be letting him go unpunished because of his color. That would be reverse-discrimination.

I could see pulling the race card if he was white and went unpunished.

Punishment here is not racist. Lack of punishment, regardless of color, could be construed as racist.
