The Green Bay Packers announced they have released CB Ahmad Carroll.

Wow, and this was even a guy I was coveting two years ago. It seems almost like the Packers are scapegoating him for last night's defensive collapse, not to say he had a good game or anything but still . . .

carroll has had issues that pre-date last night...

he gets burned often & penalized for holding & interference a lot, too...

it has been also reported that he doesn't take to coaching too well... if true, add that all up & it isn't a good picture...

i think this is his third year... same class as gamble, i think... who they could have gotten...

Lord knows he couldn't catch anything else running in a straight line that night.

I was dead set against the Packers drafting him. Really hoped they would have drafted Gamble. In the NFC North and its getting to be everywhere in the league - under 5'11" won't get it done anymore. With the do not touch rules in the secondary the shorter guys (no matter how fast or how high they can jump) are going to grab more and just won't stack up to the competition of 6' + tall receivers at 200 plus lbs. I for one am glad to see him go.
