AJ Smith Continues to be AWESOME (1 Viewer)

Just saw this quote from AJ Smith, Chargers GM extraordinaire:

“I’m told I can’t find one person who thought the linebacker [Michigan's Jonas Mouton] we took in the second round … wasn’t a fifth- or sixth-round guy. Well, I’ve found one guy. Me. He’s a second rounder here.”

-San Diego general manager A.J. Smith, to Nick Canepa of the San Diego Union Tribune.
As they said on Kissing Suzy Kolber - that is the MOST AJ Smith quote of all time.Charlie Sheen approves.

:WINNING:

And Al Davis continues to get criticized for this line of thinking. But AJ Smith does his Charlie Sheen impersonation and he's "winning".

:lmao:

I am a Michigan homer and can't stand Mouton. He is one of my least favorite Wolverines of all time.

He's arrogant, but if you don't believe in yourself and your judgment, you can't be a good manager of any kind. He's an upper echelon GM. Yeah he's made mistakes, they all have, but he's found some real gems no one else found.

I have found someone else who gave Mouton a 2nd round grade, Russ Lande
For me it's not about the grade - I'm sure there are several people who might like Mouton more than most. Every draft has that, every player has that. It's just the sheer audacity of the statement that I enjoyed.

:goodposting: IF AJ got fired by the Bolts, he woudlnt be unemployed long, he is a cocky SOB though.
