I did not know that Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews were well-respected journalists. I thought those guys were mocked by most folks. So folks who watch well respected journalists Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews are "morons" due to MSNBC employing Sharpton? His employment tells you everything you need to know about MSNBC and the morons that watch. And it's no coincidence they're phasing him out as his butt buddy Obama's run is coming to an end.
Racist piece of ####.

If by most folks you mean those who watch Fox exclusively and frequent sites like Breitbart/Daily Caller/Townhall, then you are right.I did not know that Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews were well-respected journalists. Fox, Msnbc and CNN (Cuomo, Spitzer), and even network ABC (Stephanopoulas) all for a while now have put people in front of a camera and given them news desks when those people are not really reporters or journalists. If by most folks you mean those who watch Fox exclusively and frequent sites like Breitbart/Daily Caller/Townhall, then you are right.
Your view seems pretty correct to me. Most news channels are not really relaying news. Most channels put their spin on stories and stick to their agenda even when it makes them look pathetic. It drives me crazy. I do not want someone else's agenda to be part of the news. Not sure how anyone can watch Hannity, Maddow, Sharpton, and the rest of those types.I did not know that Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews were well-respected journalists. We have politicians, pundits and advocates presenting news, but that doesn't make them "journalists." I'm of the view that bloggers who are not tied to campaigns or inherently part of party machines and who do independent investigation are or can be journalists. Radio hosts and advocates like Hannity, Sharpton... aren't really journalists. Matthews was a political advisor, I don't think he had a history of investigating or reporting, he was a political guy like Stephanopoulas. Matthews continues to be political, every words he says is advocacy, Steph at least has tried to put on the mantle of objectiveness. Maddow to me is a pundit. O'Reilly was a journalist who is now a pundit. Hannity is a pundit. It's not a knock on them but they are not "journalists."
Just my view of things.

Definitely agree. I'm very conservative in most of my views but I hate Fox News almost as much as MSNBC.I did not know that Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews were well-respected journalists. It's intellectually lazy to sit there and be spoonfed the worldview you already agree with, and many Americans are flaming idiots.Your view seems pretty correct to me. Smart move. The guy is a winner, he's young, has great vision and a cannon arm.MSNBC is in the midst of wholesale changes under NBC News boss Andrew Lack
Is this before or after the Hispanic Prison Gangfights marathon?MSNBC said Wednesday that starting Oct. 4, Sharpton's "Politics Nation" will air at 8 a.m. Sundays.

I saw Rachel Maddow for the first time during the Baltimore riots, she struck me as the most unprofessional, boorish and childish reporter I have seen in decades. They are.I did not know that Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews were well-respected journalists.
