All of you guys are right... I hate to admit it, but (1 Viewer)

First off, I would like to say that there is no way that Kurt Warner makes it through a whole 16 game season healthy. He is too old and fragile. Yup, you guys are right, try a 20 game season.

Secondly, we do not deserve to be in the playoffs.

We got lucky vs Atlanta because they are a good team but are very young and we only got the win because the rookie QB wasn't changing up his snap counts so we were in the backfield all day long. Turner and Norwood must have had bad cleats or something because they were trippin everywhere. I dont think the Cardinals defense knocked them down at all. Not a good performance at all, we were lucky to pull this one out.

In Carolina, I'm pretty sure we were down 28-0 before the game even started. Why did we even bother showing up? I mean, its simply impossible for a team that has struggled on the east coast to win vs a team that is undefeated at home. Delhomme played so bad, so terrible, he definitely lost the game for the Cats. The Cardinals didn't play good enough to win. The defense didn't show up and force Jake into those turnovers. I'm not sure how we pulled this one out. Definitiely lucky to beat a solid Panthers squad by 20, but the road definitely ends here for a fluke team like this.

Jim Johnsons defensive schemes are way too much for this offense to handle. McNabb cannot be stopped. That Cardinals fluke of an offense will be lucky to score a touchdown, maybe 2 if we were lucky. Edge is too old and/or slow to gain any important or useful yardage. It was a good run for us but I mean that Philly defense is just way to much to handle. We dont stand a chance. Eagles win this one 31-13... Atleast.

Anyways, back to reality. I know this was a heck of a sarcastic post, and I know I am going to get a crap ton of replies that don't approve of this. But in all honesty, I am pretty excited to hear another entourage of reasons why the Cardinals got lucky and why they will get killed by the Steelers. Im guessing the most replied statement will be "The Cardinals havent played a team like the Steelers yet". But I've heard that for the past month so that really doesnt mean #### to me.

I'll stop this rant now. I'm jumpin on the first flight from Phoenix to Tampa on that Friday before the 'ship and I'll see you fellas at the game.

God this is such a good feeling!!! LETS GO CARDINALS. Shock the World baby!

The difference I expect to see in discussions for SB XLIII is that the Steeler fans know that the Cardinals are a legitimate opponent because we all know:

1. ARIZ defeated PITT last year.

2. Whisenhunt can scheme as well as anyone for playoff games.

3. The Cardinals have installed a Pittsburgh West character given all the Western Pennsylvania connections.

4. Injuries to Ward and Clark could significantly alter the O and D.

Congratulations, Cardinal fans! Enjoy these weeks that have been so long in coming! I'm sure I speak for nearly all Steeler fans when I say that we are happy to see your success given the Steeler and Pitt Panther ties (even Woodland Hills HS) that are significant ingredients in your achievements.

Yep. Seems like teams that are efficient in passing the ball are the ones that give the Steelers fits, and AZ fits in to that. The key to this game will be twofold:1) Can the Steelers run the ball and control the TOP.2) Can the Steelers get decent pressure on Warner.

Did you really think Arizona was going to make believers out of the majority of Football America short of winning it all? Seriously.

The Steelers may indeed be able to run the ball better than the Falcons and Panthers because they are a lot more physical with their lineman upfront. So I wont be surprised if they have a solid amount rushing yards. But you cant take it away that the Cards defense has been tackling great these last few weeks. But who knows. And the Eagles got some good pressure on Warner but on the plays where they didnt pressure him he made them pay. The pressure has to be consistant all game. And you have to double Fitz right?

Warner gashed them on Eagle blitzs

Don't be that guy.Just, in spite of the obvious, act like you have been here before.
Don't be that guy? Like, don't be the Cardinal fan that is actually standing up for his team? Is that what you mean? I'm not walkin around sayin we're the best team ever. Or we're gonna blow the Steelers out. If some sarcasm pushes you over the edge to make you think that, then I apologize because quite frankly, I dont want to be that guy but the truth is, my post was such a minor degree of 'being that guy' considering the number of posts by some Homers that post here for their relative team.

Yeah your right. Stop being such a big fan. Stop letting out some steam after having 15 years of season tickets and sitting through soo many crappy teams. I guess its tough for the people that havent been in that position to understand. I'm really not tryin to be that guy, I'm a rare hardcore Cardinal fan and I'm just showin some love. Obviously its not respecatable.

Dude, your team is playing in its first title game since the Truman presidency. Relax and enjoy it a little.
Dude, I didnt say we were the greatest team of all time. A superbowl this rare only makes it that much better my friend.
Oh, I know. I'm giddy and we just won it 3 years ago. You must be beside yourself.I'm just saying, your OP sounded like someone pissed in your Cheerios and set you up for some backlash. Forget the venom, and who gives a #### if anyone thinks your team is for real or not? It'll all be decided on the field, and even if they lose, it's the best season in St.Louis/AZ Cards history.

The bolded is key imo. If AZ can pick up the zone blitzing and Warner is reading the hot route correctly, it could be a long day for the Steelers secondary.

Relax .You have two full weeks. You'll burnout
Haha, you are probably right. I know its going to be the longest 2 weeks of my life thats for sure. And it's not going to be the cheapest trip in the world, but I dont expect this too happen too often so regardless of the outcome, the memories will be worth the cash right?

Hey you've suffered with a horrendous owner and terrible management for decades. Enjoy the ride and you guys should own the west for some time

Keep handling it as though you've been there before, DeSean Jackson.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to go. It's only a 75 minute drive to RJS for me, but the thought of spending $2,000 for tickets for my wife and me makes my sphincter tighten. If the Steelers win, it would be worth it. if they lose, I will have dropped 2 grand to be pissed off. I can do that for free.

Hey Cardinal Fan, Be that Guy. Truly enjoy these next couple of weeks they will be exciting. No matter what happens in the game though YOUR Team made you proud this year and no other fans can take that away. You and all the other Cardinal Fans deserve this. Its been a LONG time coming. Coming from a COLTS fan dont take the Superbowl for granted because its damn hard to get back. Congrats again, Live it to the FULLEST. You got one Colts fans rooting with you .

The point is that there are only two fanbases who are going to be taking shots for the next two weeks, and the Cardinals -- yes, the Cardinals -- are one of them. You've hit the big time. I will NOT tell you to act like you've been there before, but the suggestion to enjoy the entire process -- even the "venom" as EG puts it -- is the best one.Enjoy the fact that so few people believed in the Cardinals three weeks ago.Enjoy whatever posts tell them they are the worst SB team since ...Enjoy trash-talking from divisional opponents, etc.And the reason is because YOUR TEAM IS IN THE SUPER BOWL!So all of it -- yes, ALL of it -- is good.

Uhh, I havent been there/here. Whats the problem with showing a little pride my brother? I feel like a little sarcasm is much more subdued then some different ways that I could have shown.

Well, he went down to dinner in his Sunday best

Excitable boy, they all said

And he rubbed the pot roast all over his chest

Excitable boy, they all said

Well, he's just an excitable boy

He took in the four a.m. show at the Clark

Excitable boy, they all said

And he bit the usherette's leg in the dark

Excitable boy, they all said

Well, he's just an excitable boy

He took little Susie to the Junior Prom

Excitable boy, they all said

and he raped her and killed her, then he took her home

Excitable boy, they all said

Well, he's just an excitable boy

After ten long years they let him out of the Home

Excitable boy, they all said

And he dug up her grave and built a cage with her bones

Excitable boy, they all said

Well, he's just an excitable boy

Nothing wrong with just thowing out the i told you so to all the haters. Your just responding to all the doubters who said the Cards wouldnt make it. So its not you thats wrong here, its all the people who want to makes excuses of why the cards arent as good as they are. You have a hall of fame QB who plays big in big games and has as good of a shot as any to take on the steelers. And worse case, theres nothing wrong with just making it to the big game win or lose ( coming from Bills fan ), its still an extra week of football that you get to spend cheering your team on that all of us dont. GO CARDS!

I see nothing in your posts that make you "that guy". Actually, "that guy" is all the jealous twits in this thread telling you how you should act. Enjoy your first Super Bowl. We all wish it was us. It was only last year that we Giants fans were told we were going to lose every week of the playoffs until we ran out of teams to beat. I know exactly how you are feeling this year. If we could take down the Pats, your team can handle the Steelers.

Okay, let's break this down...1.) No one hates the Cardinals. People might doubt them, but that doesn't mean they hate them.2.) The Cardinals really have to be considered one of the worst teams to ever make the Super Bowl. Sorry, but it's true, and it will be even if they win.3.) Kurt Warner might be a HOF QB, but let's stop talking like it's a foregone conclusion, because it's not. For the record, I am behind the Cards, and I hope they win. But let's keep things in perspective, no?

2.) The Cardinals really have to be considered one of the worst teams to ever make the Super Bowl. Sorry, but it's true, and it will be even if they win. True, but no Cardinals fan will care. It is like tagging the ugliest model in the Victoria Secret catalog.

3.) Kurt Warner might be a HOF QB, but let's stop talking like it's a foregone conclusion, because it's not. False, he's in.

Well, I'm glad there are some people that understand. Thanks fellas. For the past 4 hours I really havent known what to say to people or how to explain to people how rewarding this feeling is, ya know? It's amazing. But I'm out to party my ### off and try to put all of this in perspective. Shock the World baby. One more time.

you think there is a chance he doesn't get in? get real. And saying that they are the worst team to go to the super bowl is like saying they are the dumbest person to win a nobel prize. They made it there, they are good enough. And when I say haters it doesnt mean you actually hate them, its more of a slang on people who doubt on them, not like they actually wish bad things on the organization or anything, its slang.

I would love to be "that guy" someday. My team gets 41 doughnuts and takes a knee towards the end of regulation in the big games. It's not easy bleeding purple.

I'll be rooting for the Cards in the Bowl. The Steelers have a lot of hardware already.

3.) Kurt Warner might be a HOF QB, but let's stop talking like it's a foregone conclusion, because it's not. False, he's in.
Take a poll right now, and sure, he's in.Take a poll when he's eligible, once this dies down a bit (especially if Arizona loses), and we may have a different story.

For the record, I am hoping the Cardinals win this game.

You don't think there is "a chance" he doesn't get in? Sure, I'll be the one to "get real." :goodposting: Warner has had one hell of a career, but he is by no means a lock for the HOF.Take it however you want, but they are still one of the worst Super Bowl teams ever. And of course they are good enough - god knows I wish it were my team playing for the NFL championship.

I guess you mean "people who are jealous," then, not "haters," because to those of us who are educated, "haters" would mean people hate the Cardinals, which they don't. In fact, once again, I wish them all the best.

I'm a little sick of hearing the fans of every team the Steelers are about to encounter play the "We don't get any respect" card. It's way overblown. Sure, there are a few idiotic homers for every sports franchise, but for the most part true Steeler fans have been through too many tough games in the playoffs, and through too many frustrating losses not to appreciate every opponent in front of us.

We respected the Chargers.

We respected the Ravens.

We respect the Cardinals.

You can try all you want the next two weeks to play the victim. You can tell us how you're going to shock the world, and how we're all going to be stunned. None of it is true. We are expecting the Cardinals to be a very difficult opponent. I believe the Steelers should win, because I think they are a better team. But this is quiet confidence on my part, not arrogance. I could easily see the Cardinals winning this game, and nothing that happens will be a surprise.

Yeah your right. Stop being such a big fan. Stop letting out some steam after having 15 years of season tickets and sitting through soo many crappy teams. First bolded sentence. Your Cardinals have won exactly as many titles in my lifetime as my Vikings have...and I'm not too shy of 40. :goodposting: Second bolded sentence. Showing some love for your team would be posting about how awesome it is that you made it to the Big Dance, what a stud LFitz is, how Warner had an awesome year, etc. What you posted wasn't love...it was more a  about all the haters out there who gave your team no shot against the Falcons, Panthers or Eagles. You're allowed to be doing cartwheels for the next 6-9+ months for seeing your team get that shot at a Championship! Congrats! Bout time the Cardinals got a turn after all the crap they put up with in St. Louis and Arizona. Word to the wise though: celebrate your positives instead of sinking to other people's level...regardless of how GOOD it'll feel to find a lot of people out there and say "What'dya think of us now?!" It'll make it a LOT more bearable around here if your squad has to settle for "NFC Champions" and not Super Bowl Champs. :towelwave:
