actually they had a pretty good reciever down there this year. earl bennett, he led the team with about 900 yds and 9 tds, he is also a freshman.

Agreed Duke but you know what I mean. That was not a good supporting cast there. The fact they played as well as they did is a big credit to him I think.I'll still say he was much more valuable to Vandy than Leinart was to USC. Not even close. Not that it really means anything though....

Just to be fair, and I'm not endorsing either guy, but when you are the QB for Vandy you play against teams that are looking past you to the next opponent. When you QB USC, you play against teams that are playing the game of their lives. I know college football players are supposed to play hard every game, because there are only 12 games in a season, but if you follow the college game (and the pro game to a lesser extent), teams don't usually play well when they have a big game the next week or are coming off a big game. USC was the big game for everyone they played this year.
