Which team, using any of their all-time players, would be the best? I know this topic has most likely been done before, but I haven't seen it discussed anywhere for a while....and because I'm not that into FF I'm a bit bored.
To pick a player, they must have played for your team for at least 3 seasons. And for players who went to a different club before or after their prime, if you pick them, they will be judged at their level when they played for your club. IE, Oakland can pick Jerry Rice if they want, but it will be the Jerry Rice at his Oakland playing level, wich is still solid, but obviously nowhere near as good as he was with SF.
If you pick a player currently playing in the league who's young but has a lot of potential, they will NOT be judged on their potential and "how good they CAN be." They'll be viewed by how good they are right now. But if you pick an older current player like Larry Allen, they'll be viewed as they were in their prime.
Oh, and 3 WRs can be chosen for your team. It will add up to 12 players, but nowadays (and for teams like the old west coast 9'ers) it's extremely common to see 3 WR's on the field, so they're almost like starters anyway.
I'll go first....here's the All-Time Pittsburgh Steelers squad
QB: Terry Bradshaw
RB: Franco Harris
FB: John Henry Johnson
WR: Lynn Swann
WR: John Stallworth
WR: Hines Ward
TE: Eric Green
OT: Jon Kolb
OG: Alan Faneca
C: Mike Webster
OG: Sam Davis
OT: Tunch Ilkin
DE: L.C. Greenwood
DT: Joe Greene
DT: Ernie Stautner
DE: Dwight White
OLB: Jack Ham
MLB: Jack Lambert
OLB: Greg Lloyd
SS: Troy Polamalu
FS: Donnie Shell
CB: Rod Woodson
CB: Mel Blount
K: Gary Anderson
P: Bobby Walden
Quite a team IMO....11 Hall of Famers, and 4 more likely-to-potential HOFers (Woodson, Anderson, Shell, and Greenwood).
