Almost always....trading = one winner & one loser (1 Viewer)

More often than not......when trading....they'll be a winner and a loser........that's just the nature of the beast. The objective is obviously to be the winner. I just pulled off the following trade with a guy that has won my big money league three of the past five years:

I sent him:

Ronnie Brown

Chester Taylor

Greg Jennings

I received back:

Steven Jackson

Fred Taylor

Steve Smith

This is a redraft league....no ppr.

On paper....I'm very happy with my trade (most of the other "owners" in my league are not). But, a clear winner can not be named until we get deeper into the season. If Smith's hammy pops again........or if SJax heel issue pops up again....I could be a big loser. Unless there is obvious collusion.........and I mean obvious........the owners that whine are just being whiney little girls.

Great trade for you, as CT and RB's values will decay exponentially in the next few weeks. While Fred Taylor won't be that great of an RB come playoff time, SJax and Steve Smith are tremendous upgrades for you.

Now, as per collusion, there being one winner and one loser in every trade has nothing to do with whether there is collusion or not. This is just a silly statement.

Agreeing with the person above, this thread is pretty pointless other than to brag about how you just ripped off your soon to be ex-defending league champion.

I thought the purpose of trading was to exchange complimentary players depending on team needs so that both parties are better off after the trade. If it's about ripping off another owner, I prefer not to trade.

So if I trade Chris Perry to the Rudi owner in my league for Drew Brees and both our teams improve - who is the loser?

I have a simular problem in one of my dynasty leagues...a trade went down between 2 brothers befor ethe season started...R Moss for Kennison and booker ..the brother that had moss also Had portis and at that point in time his status was very uncertain..and his out look for the season was very cloudy.the other brother that would have recived moss...Has both LJ and SA...and at that point in time moss would have all but clenched the playoff for him.. this first brother quit the league after he was acussed of colusion....fastforward to week six...I just lost Fizt to injury..and need a wr in a bad way....I was offered Moss and Dayne...for Willamson and J Lewis.By a new owner who replaces the first brother..I quicky accepted...and now my trade is trying to be overturned..not for Colusion but for a " bad trade"....

I cant understand why they can see the differance between the 2 trades
