Alright LJ owners-who is benching him this week? (1 Viewer)

I normally follow that rule about never benching studs but after seeing LT get 25 yards and a furtunate TD.. To go with LJ not up to speed and maybe 15 rushes. I thinkI can find a better play..

Wondering how many LJ owners will be benching him this week vs. Chicago. LT only managed 25 yards and his offense is much better. Not looking for any start/sit advice for myself here just trying to gauge the LJ community as a whole. Are you benching him, who are you starting over him?
benching him for , gulp, Chris Brown..

YOU DON'T BENCH YOUR STUDS! They're studs for a reason. LT still scored on CHI...though he only had like 25 rushing yards. A TD is a TD and that is the mother load for most leagues.
:goodposting: WRONG.heard the same BS line last week 'don't bench LEE EVANS, start him!!'yeah, 2 catches, 5 yards.stunk up the joint..play your matchups, NOT your studs ..don't ever get caught up in the `MUST START` BS....its like Big Slick in Texas Hold Em..everyone says you must play the A-K ..I've seen it wipe guys out more times than I've seen them actually win with that hand..people play it,just *because* others ( pundits, pros) say you must play A-K..

LJ runs on everybody. Last season he had over 100 yards rushing against Jacksonville,Baltimore, and San Diego. If Herm shows any kind of commitment to the running game this week Larry Johnson will get his. There's no way I bench him.

Bench LJ start LT. KC will continue to suck, but LT won't face Da Bears every week.
LJ didn't suck, he just didn't get the ball enough. He racked up 87 yards- not a bad game. He averaged 4.3 a carry- which was the same average as 06. Herm better realize his only chance of winning and keeping his job is pounding LJ.

I'm really on the fence on this one.

1) I'm playing Peterson for sure against the Lions - nobrainer in my opinion.

So, my choice is either LJ or MJD. I think JAX comes out on fire this week on both sides of the line. No Leftwich residue this week. You'd have to think the Bears will be fired up after their loss. They will be mauling LJ. That being said, I've seen the Bears get shredded when they overpursue. So it is possible that LJ could break some big runs. But in any event, it's hard to see them scoring more than 1 touchdown, if that. I'll probably go Peterson and LJ, but I'm really thinking about benching him.

By the way, I'm benching Romo after his 5TD game and playing Big Ben instead. Miami D at home is no picnic - they make Brady look bad every year. Much better matchup for Ben against the horrible Bills secondary at home.

I know LT ended up with a lot of fantasy points last week, but I'm pretty sure that:

1) LT was in fact held to 25 yards rushing and half of those were garbage yards at the end of the first half

2) KCs passing attack is worse than SDs so I'm sure Chicago will be even more comfortable stacking the box against him

3) LJ is not going to throw a touchdown to Gonzalez (like LT did to Gates)

The only two things worth hoping for are that:

1) LJ gets several catches and racks up some yardage that way (the Bears are always susceptible to short underneath passing to RBs, -see da superbowl)

2) The Bears keep turning the ball over (several times) on their side of the field - this could give him the opportunity to score a TD

I bet he ends up with about 75 total yards, 4 catches, and 0 touchdowns. I'd bench him in favor of a good backup.
If Herm weren't such an uncreative sitck in the muc he might just want to try a little razzle dazzle because he might not win a game this year with his present gameplan.
