Maybe this is more interesting, Earth is smoother than a billiard/pool ball.
Then why are those globes with bumps so popular?
yeah really.

hey, genius, ever seen a mountain?
Ever looked at a "smooth surface" like a pool ball under a microscope? The earth is just larger so we can see it's highs and lows easily. If you scaled a pool ball to the size of the earth, it would have higher "mountains".

Mobile homes got their name from Mobile, Alabama, where they were created. It has nothing to do with their mobility.

The guy that created them was James Sweet, his company, Sweet's Homes. The radio jingle for the company was the inspiration for Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

And the guy that posted that salt shaker trick left out a pretty big details, you have to a penis in your hand and it takes like 5 minutes to finally work.

Sorry about the butchered sentences in the post above, I just read a studs n duds post and I think it made me mentally handicapped.

I tried to think of something less mathy, best I can come up with is Prof. Cipollas theory on stupidity

that says it is impossible to calculate the number of stupid people since it will invariably be too small.

Still not sure I am buying this one. I know a pool ball is very porous when viewed under a microscope, but when you picture Everest and the Himalayas it's hard not to believe it isn't bumpier than a pool ball.

Not saying you're wrong.

Everest tops out at around 24,000 feet above sea level.

Proportionate to the earth's circumference, that's an extremely minor distance, less than 5 miles versus 24,000 miles or so.

  • Blue whales don't have enough blood in their body to get an erection, they would pass out from lack of blood in the brain. To compensate - female blue whale ######s are the size of an average living room. edit: I'm getting lots of questions about this one. I believe that they just ejaculate while semi-flaccid so it's not very accurate and that's why the large ######s are there. They cum over 5 gallons at a time though, now you know.
And that's why the ocean is so salty.

Hmmmm. I believe the surface of a pool ball is all bumps and trenches giving it the "feel" of smoothness. The earth may have vast flat areas followed by big bumps. Nebraska/Kansas to eastern Colorado to the Rockies. I'm sorry I don't know if there are vast plains leading to the Himalayas.

If held in your hand and touched with your fingers, I don't believe the earth would "feel" as smooth.

Take your index finger and stick in your ear. Move it in and out of your ear quickly. Sounds EXACTLY like Pac-Man eating pellets. Seriously.

Jean Claude Van Dam was originally cast to play the predator. He was fired because he kept complaining that his real face was not in the movie and generally being a jerk.

The TRex lived closer in time to me than the Stegosaurus.

Relatively speaking,Napoleon wasn't short. He actually was taller than the average French male of his time.

When the fork was first introduced in Europe, it was banned by the church. It was seen as an affront to God, as he had already provided us with natural forks in the form of our fingers.

In 2007 a bowhead whale was killed and discovered to have a harpoon in its body that was dated to around 1880 making the whale at least 130 years old

It's also considered the origin of the now common expression "fork you".

Humphrey Bogart's last words were: "I should never have switched from Scotch to Martinis."
  • "It is hovering and it's not an aircraft."Who: Frederick Valentich. These were the last recorded words of Valentich, an Australian pilot, who disappeared after contacting air traffic control claiming to be pursued by a purported UFO.

How do they know it just didn't escape from someone who harpooned it last year with an 1880's harpoon?
