What type of conversation are you looking for here? I am not familiar with her but she seems very extreme. Quick perusal of her Wikipedia page indicates that she is very progressive and wrote in Bernie Sanders for the 2020 election. Doesn't seem like a big leap here. She's definitely not going to the republican party.

 
Who is this?  She seems to disregard the fact that there has never been a freer, safer or more prosperous society in history.  Good riddance.

30ish year old democrat with 5mil youtube subs and 450k Twitter followers. Far from a nobody and a decent barometer of the disconnect in DC and voters. 

 
“They don’t care, they’re fine,” Kasparian shouted, launching into her attack on Democrats. 

“They’re all so old, they don’t have to worry about it affecting them and if they’re young enough where it would affect them, they’ll get their abortion, okay? They’re trading their individual stocks, enriching themselves, they’re good,” she said. “They’re good. They don’t care about you. Make sure you understand that you feel it in your bones. They don’t care about you at all.”

She blasted Democratic fundraising efforts, calling members of the party “losers” for not even successfully passing voting rights legislation. 

Kasparian specifically called out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), saying, “How’s your refrigerator doing? How’s your luxury ice cream doing, okay? How’s all that going for you?”

“Listen, all of the bootlickers for the Democratic Party get so upset at me for telling you the truth about how ineffective and pathetic Democratic lawmakers are,” she continued. “Go ahead and cry about it. ‘Oh, but the real enemies are the Republicans.’ At least Republicans tell us exactly who they are. They don’t even hide their cards. They tell us exactly who they are and what they’re planning on doing.” 

The progressive accused Democrats of failing to fight back against Republican policies because “they’re too busy fundraising.” 

“Nancy Pelosi’s gonna fundraise. Chuck Schumer — he can’t do away with the filibuster because that would mean that he’d have to apply a little bit of pressure on goons like Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin. ‘Oh, can’t do that. Can’t do that,’” Kasparian said. 

She explained why she was hitting the Democratic Party so hard, saying it was because “they deserve it” and “they deceive us,” blasting the lawmakers for saying one thing and doing the opposite. 

“Nancy Pelosi, on the record, said we need ‘strong Republicans.’ I bet you do. Nancy, I bet you do. Without the strong Republicans, how would you fundraise, you pathetic, pathetic corporate goon,” she said.

I'd heard of the "Young Turks" before but never this person specifically. She's likely a grifter herself, having seemingly carved out a nice career on political commentary.

That said, she's not wrong on some of this stuff about Democrats in Congress. Hard to argue with the bolded.

So add those she influences to not vote to the non-voters side then. Pretty much  alot of our population feels the government isn't working for them. The only ones who do is when their party is in charge.

I could only get through the first 20 of the 48 second tiktok vid, but yeah, no #### Ana Kasparian whoever you are.  8 years of Obama and two more of Biden and the Democratic party has accomplished absolutely nothing that could remotely be considered left or progressive. Health care is completely upside down, labor unions are as weak as they've ever been in our history, retirement is a pipe dream for most of the working class, near zero environmental protection, minimum wage going steadily down in real numbers and blue collar workers can't even pay rent much less buy a house or support a family, support networks for poor, mentally ill, children, etc. are completely gutted nationwide, a tax policy designed to enrich the 1% and a foreign policy designed primarily to transfer wealth from the middle class upward. Basic, fundamental government programs that are the norm worldwide are now considered communist in our government and media. You'd have to be living in a cave the past decade or two to rely on the Democratic party in this country to support anything remotely expected to benefit the working class.

Not in my opinion. No more so than starting a thread of someone with a similar public profile saying they are through with The Republican Party with the news of the leaked SCOTUS ruling.

Remember this is from the same guy who thought "#Walkaway movement from the democrat party—BLEXIT is happening folks!" was thread worthy and it turned out to be a nothingburger.

Kasparian is basically running the Hollywood/NWO Hulk Hogan marketing strategy.

Her platform was stagnating and the brand she was fronting for so long has become close to indefensible. She defines the push/pull where you don't have to be particularly charismatic if you are just plain loud enough. It's not just Kasparian, you will see the fallout of this with MSNBC ( Joy Reid is a goner, Maddow has been benched until the smoke clears) and CNN has to stop the bleeding (Stelter will be punted), that was clear even if David Zaslav wasn't now in charge.

When you wait too long to eject and punch out, you end up like Jemele Hill.

A media platform built on shock marketing is not sustainable for the long haul. Trump was a generational level outlier and they milked that cow bone dry for 5-6 good years. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Without the cow anymore, everyone has to eat their cereal with water instead. No one likes how that tastes.

Personally I consider it a gutless move. Love who you love and hate who you hate and hold your ground about it all.

She wants to rebrand before the age of 40.

It's called "Post Wall"  The media industry is particularly brutal to women over the age of 40. "Caucasian" women have some inherent advantages in terms of viewer engagement, but they generally tend to age poorly and exponentially on camera. Even skill won't save you ( Rene Russo is a quality actress and yet she can't get parts unless her husband leverages them to her)

Kristi Noem waited too long and now she's been phased out of any potential for higher office.

When Nancy Pelosi entered public office and public life, just being a woman was still actually currency to operate as a contrarian. Now it's so common, no one cares anymore.

Good riddance. The Democrats need to decide: are they going to be a centrist liberal party? Or are they going to be socialists? If it’s the latter then look for Republicans to continue to win elections.

Yeah, this is why Bernie resonated with so many and why the parties are so alike in many ways that impact so many people. That’s why the culture wars, wokeness and things like abortion are what these leaders focus on because otherwise the parties are fairly indistinguishable from each other.

And I’m not suggesting that those things aren’t important but I totally get why the 80M or whatever the number of non-voters is fell the way they do.  They don’t give a #### about all that stuff and just want to live comfortable lives and have the “American dream”.
