And that is why Brady is better than Rodgers (1 Viewer)

17 playoff wins.Blame it all on your D Pack homers, but when the game is on the line there's only one guy I would want, and that's Tom Brady. Rodgers was good last night, but he wasn't great like Brady was today :)

I agree 100%.When it came time to choose their teams for the playoffs, Brady smartly went with the team they had already beaten handily earlier in the season. And what does Rodgers do? Picks a team they lost to! What kind of HoF QB does that?

Devoured get bored making hawker look classy at FFT?Now trolling here I guess.
Rodgers is WAY better! State Farm says so! Oh wait a minute.....Audi says Brady is better. Boy this is a tough one!
I thought that was Dodge?
All I know is Brady drives a sweet Audi A8 and he was on the cover of the most recent Audi magazine that they sent me. He's the reason I drive Audi and Rodgers is the reason I'm with State Farm.Man this argument is so difficult.....both QB's have their pluses and minues. I mean I love my Audi Q5, but if I get in an accident who's going to be there for me? Yes, that's right Rodgers will be there to clean up the mess.....but I rarely think about State Farm when I driving 90 mph down the freeway......I feel like I have hair again knowing that Brady drives an Audi too.Damn it you guys.....they are both great!

If you break down Rodgers' and Brady's individual skills in terms of arm strength, quick release, scrambling ability, etc., it's fair to say that Rodgers is more physically gifted.Further, if you take the two QBs and assess their on-field performance when they're at their absolute best, than Rodgers probably also narrowly edges out Brady, but I could see someone going the other way on that point.Yet, when you compare resumes of accomplishments -- there is no comparison. Brady's records, not only including his post-season records but also including his regular season records like longest winning streak, put him at a far higher level than Rodgers. So it boils down to what measurement you're using to compare Brady and Rodgers. If you're only using physical talent -- then it's Rodgers. If you're only using accomplishments -- then it's Brady. If you're using a combination of talent and accomplishments -- then you also have to say Brady because the divide between Brady's accomplishments and Rodgers' accomplishments is greater than the divide between Rodgers' talent and Brady's talent.

Hope you got your Uggs on while driving your Audi. Of course he is also in a Dodge commercial for those of us with less coin.

It's a silly debate that never had any merit to begin with. Rodgers doesn't even get to be in the conversation until he does a LOT more. Right now there is nobody in Brady's class. He just keeps doing it, year after year after year. He loses Gronkowski and Woodhead, two guys who he even admitted afterward were KEY ELEMENTS in their gameplan today, and he still gets it done. There's no excuses with the guy. He really makes being a fan of his very easy.

Brady is also very humble about his accomplishments and is the quintessential team player. That's why when I hear people say things like, "I hate Brady because he's so arrogant" (and I hear that often), I know that the speaker either knows nothing about the NFL or is speaking with pure hateration.

Couldn't have said it better. :goodposting:

I used to "hate" Brady because I live in New England and have to deal with Pats fans every day. But I just can't. Hell, he even said after the game today that he's not in the same class as Montana and Young. He didn't say "it's an honor to be mentioned in the same sentence as those guys"...he said he wasn't in the same class. Now THAT's class, no matter what side of the issue you're on.

I'm glad I at least made someone smile. Here in Wisconsin all my relatives are beating their children with empty beer bottles since last night's debacle. It's a sad, sad sight.

Wait, what debate are we having here? Who is more accomplished? Obviously Brady has the edge there, although having been a starter in this league for more than twice as long as Rodgers helps.

How and why did this thread get started? Did someone slight Tom Brady? Just trying to understand where the source of the venom is coming from.

What's he supposed to say? "Plaxico is right. We'll probably only score seventeen points."That's why I never understand when people get bent out of shape after a reporter asks a player, "Who's going to win the game?", and the player responds, "We're going to win. I guarantee it!"

What's the player supposed to say? "We're going to lose"?

That's not being arrogant. That's being a competitor.

I'm talking about all my relatives in Hudson beating their children with emtpy beer bottles after last night! It's sad man! Just because Brady is better than Rodgers! :banned:

This thread is what makes the Shark Pool great. Keep em coming you guys.
:goodposting: They are both great, and to each his own. I am a Brady guy personally but I can see the other sides for Rogers, and others. The best way to put it is this. Ask any Packer fan if they would rather never have Aaron Rodgers but had Tom Brady and been to 7 NFC title games in 11 years, 5 Super Bowl trips and and 3 Super Bowl wins and you would have to find the drunkest cheese head idiot to say nope I will take Rodgers. At the same time as any Pats fan if they would trade Brady for Rodgers right now but the Patriots would have lost to Houston today and you would have to find the smuggest Pats fan for them to say they would rather have Brady.

bradyhe also pulls off goats as a fashion accessory, whereas I doubt rodgers could make that work.
