When was the last time Brady won a superbowl? When was the last time Rodgers won a superbowl? Your analysis was simplistic and so was mine.

When was the last time Brady won a superbowl? When was the last time Rodgers won a superbowl? Your analysis was simplistic and so was mine.

And that's why Rodgers and Brady are both way better than Montana. Montana hasn't won a superbowl in decades.

Exactly. No one would argue that Rodgers has had a better career at this point. But Rodgers has been the better quarterback the last two years. Some will point to the fact that Brady is playing next week and Rodgers is not as some kind of proof otherwise, but no QB is NFL history is gonna win playoff games when his defense gives up an average of 44 points a game (which is what GB's D has given up per game in his three playoff losses in '09, '11 and '12).

Well, in one breath you want to focus on recent history, but then you throw in excuses for Rodgers losing playoff games in 09.I'll make it simple for you. Rodgers had one outstanding, spectacular year - and he deservingly won the MVP Award for it. This year he was good, but definitely not MVP caliber and, in my opinion, not as good as Tom Brady. And that goes for regular and postseason.

Rodgers was much better than "good" this season. He was 2nd in the NFL with 39 TD passes with only 8 INTs. His passer rating of 108 was the best in the NFL. He was 3rd in completion percentage at 67.2% and 8th in yards with 4,295. He may not be the MVP of the league but calling his season only "good" is wrong.

And did so with a bad Oline (that did get better...but was still not great) and for most of the season either no run game, or a coach who continues to give up on the run at times.
 
May be O/T, but it certainly seemed like Brady was afraid to make a mistake yesterday-- bouncing a few balls to lloyd (and a bad overthrow to him when he was wide open 25+ yards down the field) and mis-throws to Welker. The deep sideline balls to Vereen and Welker were things of beauty, but outside of that I did not think he looked very sharp. Game could have been a blow out by half time if he hits on a few of those 3rd down misses he had. Can't believe that everything I've read/heard this morning are acting like he played lights out. Don't get me wrong - he was not terrible, by any means, but certainly not Brady-caliber.

The point of my post was to use a very flawed statistic to compare the 2 QBs (just like the original poster). Glad you were able to pick up on it.....

I know this is just one big fishing excursion, but I'll go ahead and throw myself in the boat anyways...I'm a Bears fan and I absolutely HATE the Pack and Rodgers with a passion. But that SOB is the BEST QB in the NFL and has been for at least a few years now. Dude has a porous offensive line, gets sacked more than anybody, doesn't miss games, and still ends up at or near the top of all relevant QB statistics year in and year out.

Same tier? All-time, Brady would be slightly above him because of duration and overall body of work (forgetting about the ***). But right now, Rodgers is head and shoulders above Brady. Rodgers is still imporoving and Brady is on the decline. Brady has actually become one of the league's worst clutch quarterbacks over the last five years or so. And he has actually gotten even slower (and softer). Wasn't sure that was possible.

I am the biggest Brady fan and Patriot homer there is but this is the beginning of the end for the Brady era. Hopefully Mallet is like Rodgers and learned a lot behind a hall of famer
