Andre Johnson Injury Updates (1 Viewer)

It wasn't expect, it was hope!

Along with all the, "He's looking much better an questionable every week"

------------

I wouldn't be worried an I'd holdout for when he does come back if my team

wasn't in trouble, I needed him sooner then later and was praying he'd do it.

(but the every week this is the week stuff just doesn't cut it anymore here)

Rotoworld Monday

Andre Johnson (hamstring) admitted that he had a "setback" last Monday.

Although coach Gary Kubiak continues to say Johnson is "close," it sure doesn't seem that way. "If it wouldn't have happened Monday, then it probably could've happened on Wednesday in practice," said Johnson, who did some light running on Friday. With the bye looming in Week 11, we wouldn't be surprised if he targets Week 12 for his return. The Texans are 3-2 without Johnson and face the Bucs Sunday.

Ya it was reported that he felt some tugging in his leg while trying to open up. Instead of trying to push through it they gave him a couple of days off. I think they are being smart and safe with their best weapon. My guess is he comes back week 12 unless he is able to test it this week and not feel anything wrong with it a couple of days in a row.

Hoping he struggles his first game back like Julio did this week.

Latest from Kubiak, still nothing to go on.

Whether or not wide receiver Andre Johnson plays is up in the air.Coach Gary Kubiak said that Johnson worked out on Monday and is “back on track” after missing his fifth consecutive game with a hamstring injury. The five-time Pro Bowler was sore coming out of a workout last Monday and did not practice last week.“The workout went very good,” Kubiak said. “Will he be on the practice field Wednesday? I don’t know. We’re going to take it a day at a time, but we’re back on the track to Andre getting back on the field here very, very quickly, and hopefully that’s this week, but I don’t know. We’ll see, but he’s very upbeat. Went through a tough little few days there the week before, but now we’ve come out of this thing fine.”

His injury/surgery was a 6 week injury. Don't plan on him back this week. Houston has no need to rush him when he can get ready for 2 more weeks.

I can't see him playing with the bye next week and Tampa on the schedule. They won't even need receiving options this week with the defensive line the Bucs are going to put on the field.

The Texans will rush for 250+ in this game.

Texans | Andre Johnson does not run

Wed, 09 Nov 2011 11:11:33 -0800

Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson (hamstring) did not run Wednesday, Nov. 9, because head coach Gary Kubiak said Johnson has run four of the last five days. Johnson will work with trainers Thursday, Nov. 10, and likely will be a game-time decision.

why not give yesterday as his standard off day and not the first day of the week you practice? sounds like Kubiak should run for office with all the junk he feeds people.

Anyone else think this kind of back and forth (might play, might not play) is going to go on for the next two weeks...followed by sitting week 10 as well just to get extra rest with the Texans bye on week 11?
:goodposting:

Texans coach Gary Kubiak is confident that Andre Johnson (out, hamstring) will be 100 percent after the Week 11 bye.

Johnson is on board with the decision to sit out Week 10, and the Texans will really come out looking good if they beat the Bucs on Sunday. "He is doing wonderful," said Kubiak. "We should come out of the bye knowing that he's back ready to go and be a part of our team as we go into those last six weeks. ... The smart thing to do is to give him this extra time to rest."

I think this is the first honest statement Kubiak has made about AJ since the injury. In his heart of hearts, I'm positive this was the timetable for at least the last month.

This was all planned. They have to say he's "looking good" or whatever so teams have to waste time making game plans in case he shows up. Completely manufactured. Regardlesss, he's going to come back in week 12 and dominate the rest of the year. I traded Maclin/Avant for AJ/Jacoby and I couldn't be happier being 9-0 and playing for the playoffs.

I'm considering dealing Mendenhall for him..do you guys think he will come back strong and be a top 5 WR?

I am just lucky to be in strong position for the playoffs with him lingering on my bench since his injury. Hopefully he comes back like a ball of fire.

while his coach has been blowing smoke, andre has been pretty straight up with the injury. This is a good sign.
