Today's a good day to bump this thread.

Not only does AJ still lead the NFL in receptions and receiving yardage, he's scored touchdowns in consecutive weeks for the first time since week 6.

His updated stats through week 14:

92 receptions, 1201 yards, 5 TDs

In my leagues, I only get points for when my WRs actually catch the TDs, not when they obviously drop them
I would love to see a list of 12 WR's you would prefer over AJ.

Would anyone prefer Burress over AJ in dynasty/keeper?
:goodposting: I realize your post is back in early November, but wow - how 5 weeks change things.
I dont think there was ever a time where someone would prefer Buress to AJ.
they may not admit it now, but I'm sure someone somewhere was :lmao: enough
You might be right, but Bucsbaby didnt even have him listed above AJ, and he had like 20 WR's listed ahead of him.

He isnt a true stud WR. Thats the facts. He has had about a half a season of goods games in his career. The truth will be told in the next two to three weeks. I dont understand why people dont know when to cut their loses
I have to rate this as the worst post of the year. Can I get a second? This friendly bump was brought to you by the letter A, letter J, and the number 80.

:) You got it. I second that horrid post. If I was that guy I would never watch football again for fear of making more stupid statements. He probably thought David Carr was an NFL QB.

:) another overhyped, overrated guy..AJ is like a pair of Aces in Texas Hold-em...you can't get away from it, its a great hand. its 'the best' you can have..but chances are you'll either win a very small pot or get busted with these Aces, at least that's how the saying goes...( same thing with Big Slick a-k - the bust rate is enormous!)AJ looks great on paper - size, speed, hands, etc..he's fooled enough people by his high draft pick status, his 103 catch season, his reputation of 'AJ led the NFL before he got hurt 2007 season'.. fact is the guy is an also-ran WR on a team that now has a legit, borderline Pro Bowl TE and a rising star in RB Steve Slaton.Aj doesn't need to make 10+ catches per game anymore, there are other options on this team.wait for a big game, and then trade him.
 This one may be even better. Dude, don't watch football....ever again. Seriously. You look ridiculous.

I'll be more impressed when AJ puts up good numbers against a defense that is better than the Lions (or the Bengals). There are a LOT of WRs in the NFL who could post good numbers against the Lions unit (i.e., see all the threads on "start the kitchen sink against the Lions?")
How about the Titans?

I stand corrected. This one is better.

Hell, he had 10 receptions for 112 against the Steelers all the way back in week one, but that wasn't good enough because he didn't score a TD.Never bench this guy.

Yeah, back then the 10/112 looked good, but didn't realize just HOW good until you have the full bank of Stillers performances now to examine. He's been in my lineup every single week. Looking back around Week 4, though after a few of those early season drops, it was gut check time. Glad he turned into the AJ we are seeing today and not Braylon Edwards.

What will it take for AJ to turn it around?

hmmmm, how about 206 yds and a td?

AJ is da man. Does everyone realize that at half, Shaub had 165 passing yds and 155 of them were to AJ? That is ridiculous. I have never heard anything like it. And that is without a huge bomb of a td pass!!
