Used a mid-round pick on him thinking last year was a fluke. Thought the new team/manager would all be exactly what he needed to get close to his prime numbers. So far, not so good. It's early, but he's just not seeing the ball with all his K's so far. Anyways, are people cutting this guy loose yet or is he someone I should be patient with?

Rotisserie format.

Someone in my league traded him for Byrnes this week and no one protested it, so maybe most think he will turn it around. I dont like his chances too much as he cannot hit an off speed pitch

i drafted him with same thinking as you. the size of your league/wire impacts how patient you should be. i was going to wait longer, but dropped him a couple of days ago when someone dropped hermida.

Dropped early last week in my league and still on the wire. I had him the last two seasons and won't touch him. (14-team dynasty roto)

he is such a good player that i believe he has to snap out of it. he may not hit over .280 but he should start hitting some Hrs. His RBIs will be avail since furcal is healthy and hitting, ethier and loney are hitting over .300

Not sure if the elbow inj from last year is still lingering or he has gone in the tank faster then anyone imagined....

Couldn't disagree more. He showed up to ST fat (not just out of shape, but noticably fat), played like it, and hasn't gotten any better. He is just wildly swinging at anything that looks like it could be a strike. This is just a worse version of what I saw last year, in which he showed up to ST slightly out of shape, never caught up, and looked stupid at the plate for the better part of the season.

????Who actually thinks he has a chance of hitting over .280? Jones looks horrible and being a Dodger fan i'm quite disappointed that we have another CF flop.

Was speaking historically he WAS a good player. And maybe I am hoping last years .222 ave was an aberration and he is still going to hit 30 hrs.
he may not hit over .280
This is a safe guess considering he's only topped .280 once in his career.
my bad. I didnt realize his ave was that low. In that case, he better get to .260 and have 30 hrs....either way, i would rather have him out there then Pierre

yeah, the weight thing is really puzzling. I don't ever remember him struggling with weight before. So, I don't know what to make of it...are his numbers a reflection of him starting the season out of shape or just coincidental that he can't get around on a fast ball anymore and maybe his elbow injury still lingures and he is no longer the player he once was? I don't know. I do know he was always a phenominal outfielder and seeing him recently in the field not get to balls he normally would've had in his back pocket is alarming.
