I had him in 3 leagues...lost all of em. I'm planning on diversifying my QBs next week...Just a fluke or harbinger of things to come?I survived him and won one league and I still have a shot in another league but what a joke.
I was fortunate enough to have Tiki, Jeff Wilkins!!!!!!!!!, and Bush. Those three made hopefully made up for Jake. I have the Washington D tonight and need 2 pts. My other QB option was Cpepp so it wasn't going to get that much better for me at QB this week anyway.I own him in a league and managed to eek out a win riding on Tiki's shoulders.I think Plummer is still a solid fantasy option. I'd be surprised if he keeps doing what he dis this week.
I do have crazy man love for Cutler......On Week 6, get ready for a new era in football.......
JAY CUTLER
Coming to a starting lineup near you.
yeah but I love that double header tonite!!!!I benched him for Mike Vick! Stupid. It goes to show you that these pre game analysis means nothing. Vick is my #1 guy, but I got cute and benched him Vick. Dumb! I would be blowing my opponent out if not for SNAKE! Now it comes down to the 1015 game tonight. Man, that's a long time from now.....
I'm guessing the guy rejected your offer?I'm down by 35 pts but I got Lamont Jordan and Cooley going tonight in a PPR league so there is definitely hope.
I already offered someone Reggie Brown for Marc Bulger, he is starting Doug Gabriel so he might be desperate.
Exact same hereI benched him for Mike Vick! Stupid. It goes to show you that these pre game analysis means nothing. Vick is my #1 guy, but I got cute and benched him Vick. Dumb! it was also madness to go for it on 4th down from your own 30yd line, but he did itIt would be madness to throw Cutler in until he has backed up Plummer for at least a year.
Subjective opinion: Denver was able to run the ball effectively yesterday. As long as that's true, Plummer will have value because of Denver's play action passing gameplan.Stats-based opinion: Plummer traditionally has gad a bad first week but has bounced back for solid seasons.2005Week 1: 1 TD, 2 INTRest of year: 17 TD, 5 INT2004Week 1: 2 TD, 2 INTRest of year: 25 TD, 18 INT2003Week 1: 0 TD, 3 INTRest of year: 15 TD, 4 INTTotals for three years in DenverWeek 1: 3 TD, 7 INTRest of year: 57 TD, 27 INT
You should've started Nall! One league I started him in has -2 for INTs and -2 for Fumbles. He had -1.1 this week. I have a 28 point lead on a guy who has Jordan and SMoss tonight. Gonna be close.![]()
Same here, it's going to cost me at least one game, probably two (same set up in two leagues).I benched him for Mike Vick! Stupid. It goes to show you that these pre game analysis means nothing. Vick is my #1 guy, but I got cute and benched him Vick. Dumb! I would be blowing my opponent out if not for SNAKE! Now it comes down to the 1015 game tonight. Man, that's a long time from now.....
Talking to my buds here, I said this exact thing. Denver is notorious for just not being ready to play week 1, especially on the road. The addition of Linehan knowing how that game down in Miami went...really thought the Rams would keep this one close and have a shot. Even a blind squirrel like me finds a nut once in awhile.I'm not that worried about Plummer or Denver, but enough to drop a WR5 for Cutler. Shanny's a little nuts, and I really wouldn't put it past him to throw Cutler out there if he really thinks he can get the job done. Cecil, SSOG, any thoughts on the likelyhood of this happening if Plummer has another horrible week?Don't jump ship on Plummer and the Broncos, remember last year's season openner, on the road in Miami, Jaked looked terrible, and Denver lost, well the new coach of Rams, was OC, of Miami, think he got last years df scheme fom his friend the Miami DC. Looked a whole lot like that game last year. Give it another week, if results are the same, then start to worry.
Denver is notorious for not being ready to play in week 1? Funny, here I thought that Mike Shanahan's 10-3 record on week 1 coming into this season was best in the NFL. And here I also thought that Mike Shanahan's record in September was also the best in the NFL. Weird. As far as Plummer goes, he had a really bad game, but let's not put all the blame on him. His O-Line was getting him killed out there, and his targets had tons of drops. Javon Walker had at least 3 (including one that was a sure TD), reliable Rod had a drop or two, and Scheffler had a ball that hit him in the helmet. One of Plummer's INTs was a pass that went right through his receiver's hands, too (Brian Clark, iirc). Give Plummer those completions and he actually had a reasonably solid day- probably 300 yards and a TD, although still 2 INTs.As for Cutler... I seriously doubt he sees any PT this season unless it's a Denver blowout, or unless Denver's eliminated from the playoffs.Talking to my buds here, I said this exact thing. Hey SSOG do you know why O line play was so bad?? I didn't get to watch the game. I did hear that there were quite a few drops though...thanks for the homer infoDenver is notorious for not being ready to play in week 1? My lord yeah. Balt D is scary this year.Got a -3 for me, but BAL's D carried me so I'm taking a wait-and-see approach for at least the next two weeks. Week 5 is looking like a must-sit for Plummer vs. BAL though.
I owned Plummer between 1999 and 2005. If i learned one thing: here is the deal --- play him at HOME and not on the road, unless at OAK. Sit him every other game unless its against the league's worst defense, say the Titans.
