Anybody Starting Vick (1 Viewer)

Have been reading on these boards that some say vick as top 5 possibility for the rest of the year. some even says top 3. If you had Vick and another top 4 guy like rodgers, Brees, manning, Brady is anybody sitting that stud for Vick today?

Just curious, and why.

 
I am starting him over Schaub but probably not over a top 4 until we see a few more games. He might get deflated pretty quickly by the better defenses in the league

 
I'm starting Vick over Brett Farve versus the Lions. I never in a million years thought I'd sit Brett Farve against the Lions but I'm doing it this week. I know that's not what you asked but figured I'd throw it out there because I rarely sit guys versus Detroit, especially one that has made an absolute living off of them. I know people may think it's a no brainer to start Vick over Farve but it really isn't. It wouldn't surprise me in the list if Farve outpoints Vick today.

If 3 weeks ago I told you Farve outpointed Vick against Jax and Minny against Detroit, most would say big deal, it's Detroit, Farve's always killed Detroit. Now that we're on the verge of all the games today, I don't think there are too many prognosticators picking Farve over Vick. If there's ever a time for Farve to get healthy early on in this season, it's this week.

Farve is nothing more than a QB2 this year even against the Lions. I would stick Vick in the starting lineup the rest of the season without any worries. A healthy Vick is a top 5 lock with his running ability and the Eagles offensive scheme.
 
currently debating vick (jax) vs brady (buf). Really a win win proposition, but I am leaning towards vick.

also have same decision + cutler (GB), and am leaning vick. Might just split em so I can hedge my bets.

 
Had a choice of Vick, Schaub or Romo. Was going to start Vick but with the bad secondary of the Texans, Romo should be able to pick them apart.

With Brown suspended for 4 games I would not trust Schaub, I think he will be running for his life all day. Also am going to have Foster on my bench because I think he will have to be used a lot to block. (I have other starting RB options)

If Romo was not going up against the Texans secondary I would have started Vick.

 
Cutler is # 2 QB in my league (who I own), Vick is # 4...

Starting Vick over Cutler today :lmao:

well you guys answered my question. i am going to start Vick over Brees as well, I just wanted to see if the hype everyone was handing out early in the week is still holding on.
 
This seems like a trap to me.

I like Vick and I love the matchup (Jags couldn't pressure the QB of a high school team), but I have a funny feeling about this.

Vick's been made out to be a savior all week. Playing the best football of his life. Kolb trade rumors swirling about. Eagles fans and fantasy fans excited about the possibilities. Jags defense is probably worse than the Lions.

It all seems too perfect.

The Jags are also a team that tends to bust out a random great game just as the world completely gives up on them.

I predict the sieve of a Philly defense let's MJD, Garrard and Co, open up a huge lead at home, followed by Vick throwing 3 picks (maybe a fumble or 2). The garbage time numbers will help, but it won't be enough to satisfy fantasy owners.

Also, this situation keeps getting more screwed up. Are people really not thinking Kolb has a good shot to make an appearance this afternoon?

ETA: I realize this isn't the best way to make fantasy decisions.

I have debated starting Vick over Rodgers all week but I can't do it. Rodgers has not put up amazing numbers against Chicago in the past but I'm going with him mainly because it's the MNF game.

 
Starting vick over Brady for the second straight week.....it was a good move last week and I anticipate the same this week. Plus dodd's agrees with me. :sarcasm:

 
I have Vick in two leagues and in one I'm starting him over Eli and Favre then other one I actually started McNabb over him because the Skins run game stinks and McNabb should be able to throw for big numbers. Now I don't own Vick and Brees in any leagues together but I can't think of a single matchup I would bench Brees for Vick.

Doing exactly the opposite, Romo in over Schaub and Vick. Texans secondary is the suck, Romo will put up big yards, Dez will have his breakout game today...JMHO

Just a feeling, everything is set for this, he will have a breakout game, Texans are the team to do it against.Again it is just a feeling, don't make lineup changes just because I have a feeling. Just my :mellow:

I agree with your gut call on Romo, but I have to keep Dez benched as he isn't all quite a picture of health. Thanks for your $.02
 
staring him over Brady. I am starting Randy and Welker in this same league, so I'll still be okay even if Brady has a big day.

Vick-McNabb is my choice and I penciled Vick in but I don't like the rainy weather in Jax. I'm going to switch and start McNabb because of that poor Rams pass defense.

Look at my sig for my redraft team.Cutler is starting. He has been on fire and plays on the big stage Monday night in what should be a sick shootout.
 
I don't know, you might be a Vick fan and I can't convince you otherwise.

But look at how many passing yds Houston has given up so far. I think Romo is a solid start today.

Almost started him over Rodgers but as a Packer fan couldn't doit. If I wasn't I probably would.

Maybe I can trade him now.

 
I was a little worried after the Saints game because Brees put up some good numbers. Vick had a very good game and helped me get high score in the league this week though.
