Anyone else bumping up Wayne? (1 Viewer)

He has really looked terrific this preseason. Also w/o Edge and Marvin slowing a bit he could be in for a huge season. At this point I think I would consider taking him over Chambers and Boldin. I thought I would post this to see if I am buying into too much preseason hype.

Wayne jumped up in our draft last year but was somewhat disappointing. Decent yardage, tds were well below expectations.. Wayne should have better td stats this season (with the loss of edge), but Manning to Harrison will continue...

Its tough to compare an Indy passing team to anyone, but I look at Wayne and Harrison the same way you look at Fitz and Boldin.. Both wr will get theirs and its anyones guess as to which player will have the better day from week to week.. Harrison is more of a lock, but similar situation.

I'm a believer in Wayne, but not because Harrison is slowing. The same talk occurs every year. Eventually, his numbers will decline, but I don't think it's going to be a nosedive. I would still rather have Harrison than Wayne on my roster, but you might be able to get Wayne ten or more picks later.

I suppose it matters just where you had him ranked earlier. For me, his performance has only re-inforced my ranking him in the top 12. Bumping him up from there is not as easy as it would be if you pegged him at #20. But I must admit T. O.. is sliding.

Took him at 3.03 today in my redraft league...Holt at 2.08, Mason at 4.08, and L.Evans at 6.08...I like my 4 some in a start 3WR league.

I ALMOST took Wayne at 3.3 in a new dynasty today. Took Chambers instead. I hope i made the right choice...

Wayne actually went 1 pick before Harrison in our 12 team redraft. Some questioned it, some liked it.

Well, I'm kinda kicking myself in one league for finally giving in to one owner who continuously pestered me about swapping Wayne for S Moss. I eventually gave in, and did the 1-for-1 swap. I like Moss, but I had a great feeling about Wayne before. Not sure why I did it now...

In another league, I got Wayne near the end of last season and planned on keeping him. But after several trades, he ended up back with the guy I got Wayne from. Kinda kicking myself about that one, too. I actually offered the 1.05 rookie pick for him and he turned it down...

Not sure why Edge would have any effect on Wayne here, Edge is on the Cardinals now.

He was stating without (w/o) Edge this year Wayne should have a big year.

No. I appreciate you elaborting on your ideas. He has looked like a total stud this preseason so I am not sue why you would not bump him up. He looks like he is ready to jump into the elite class of receivers. He is also much more consistent than guys like Chambers and maybe Ward.

In a 12 team, 1 keeper redraft on 8/20/06, Wayne went 4.03, 2 picks after Roy Williams at 4.01. He was the 14th WR off the board.
