Anyone Else Considering Benching TY Hilton @Buf? (1 Viewer)

Colts OL is below average, maybe worse. Bills D is stout up front and on the backend. I'm worried Luck will have zero time to let routes develop in this game.

Not looking to make this a WDIS, but I've got a WR3 type name on my bench with a much better matchup at home that I'm thinking of plugging in for TY.

Any other TY owners in a similar frame of mind?

 
I'm not expecting a career day from TY by any means, but he's got a safe floor. I wouldn't bench for anyone drafted later than him. Can't justify benching one your early picks due to matchup, else like said why draft him?

 
The absolute beauty of a guy like Hilton is it literally only takes one play for him to justify your fantasy day and did we mention the bills have a starting rookie corner tomorrow named Ronald Darby?

 
We'll see how the game plays out, but I'm expecting Gilmore to be matched against Johnson and Darby against TY with bracket help from Corey Graham all game long. Not seeing the long ball from that scenario, especially with Luck getting pressured consistenly.

Now there could always be a breakdown or they could put Gilmore on TY and double Andre. Like you guys say, it only takes one play to make TY a WR1 tomorrow, I just think the odds of that play are lower against the Bills than against most teams.

Just talking out loud here. Not sure I have the stones to follow through and bench TY, though the longer I play fantasy the more I believe in matchups over studs unless you're talking uber studs like Julio/Dez/ODB. I don't consider TY in that category.

 
Its week one, its always easy to get jumpy and get too cute week 1. Stick with the guy you drafted until what you know about him changes, that's why you took him early.

 
I would think the rookie Darby will be on him with safety help deep. Still wouldn't bench him. Now Andre Johnson if he gets Gilmore could be in for a rougher ride....

 
With Hilton, you need to get used to three games of 4 catches for 50 yards, followed by 10 catches for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. You're not going to get consistency but he'll win some weeks for you. You're better off keeping him in and crossing your fingers. You'll be pissed if he's on your bench when he has one of his big games.

 
Rookie CB Ronald Darby may be covering Hilton. Did you see what Martavis Bryant did to Darby in week 3 of the preseason (3-138-1 in a half)? Play Hilton.

 
If the Bills are smart they'll have Gilmore 1-on-1 with Hilton all game playing press coverage. Gilmore is at his best playing press and that's exactly how the Pats limited Hilton in the AFCCG. If you get physical at the line with Hilton he struggles.

 
After a long deliberation, my balls are too old and shriveled to sit TY. That said, here is what I think will happen today:

TY - 4/60/0

Stevie J - 8/100+/1

SJ gonna feast on new Lions slot corner with Gates out.
