Anyone else done with GOT? (1 Viewer)

I watched every episode, took part in some of the forums and threads and discussions concerning the show, clicked on a few click bait links( THIS is how one fan thinks it will end etc....)

But now..It's over. Fini...Kaput....It has ceased to be.  I haven't clicked on one article, engaged in any discussions(cept this one) or cared at all.  To me, it's over.  All the fan theories or speculation are pointless.  I've seem some click bait regarding who was supposed to live or die.  Doesn't matter. We all know how it ended.

Anyone else moved on from this show?

Yeah, my interest level on it is pretty low now. I don't think I will checkout the prequels unless they get rave reviews.

My interest crashed hard last week, but it’s not nonexistent either. If the books ever get finished, I’ll re-read the first 5 and finish out the series. I’ll watch the prequels if they’re of good quality. Past that, I don’t see a rewatch for awhile, but that’s not something I do much. I watch the Wire once a year, Sopranos every few years, and I’m probably going to do a BB rewatch soon, but that’s about it.

I’ve never watched or thought of watching.

I was thrilled when I found out a couple weeks ago that it was ending.

I’ve muted a bunch of hashtags and words on Twitter but doesn’t work well because ‘got’ is a common word. I’m hoping it totally dies down now and everyone forgets about it!

I'm done with with that big thread about it but I'm interested in what spin-offs or prequels that HBO puts out.  I might watch them.

I don't participate much in the threads but I am not done with GOT.  I will likely rewatch series numerous times in my life and will certainly be checking out the spinoff(s).

In the middle of watching the doc.

Kinda easy to be out at this point in you want- nothing happening until the prequels.

Mobdro has it in it's 24/7 stream lineup, so i have the luxury of just landing on it without having to make any effort of queuing up a particular episode, etc

ran across tail tend of s5 a few days ago, lovely BoB penultimate episode was most enjoyable

so, in that sense, no ... i'm not done with it - so many compelling episodes pop up up on the Mobdro that i find myself rewatching ...

but would i binge a season or two ... or three? right now?

no.

also helps that my gf is currently knee deep in the books , she gives me thumbnails of that version, which i'm enjoying very much.

Had there been a decent ending, I'd probably be interested in a rewatch relatively soon.  As it stands, the build-ups of the series seem somewhat meaningless and I have no interest.
I’m like you. Had it ended with another great season (I even really enjoyed season 7), I’d be thinking about a rewatch this summer. Now, I’d be hard pressed knowing where it went. I will watch the prequels but could tune out quick if they are written like this season. There are a lot of great shows listed in this forum that I’ve never watched so I need to get through those first.

It's become fashionable to announce to everyone that you never watched the show and are very proud of that fact.
I have never watched the show and feel like I missed out on something culturally significant. But I am happy about not worrying about how I'll never get that time back.

i felt this way up to 'round 3 years ago ... until so many people whose opinions i trust and value absolutely swooooooned about the show when doling out praises -

so, i succumbed ...

... was hooked like a crack ho' after 10 minutes of the first episode, and never looked back - having the opportunity to virgin binge it was a ####### gift - most satisfying tv endeavor of my life.

until the last season 🤣

Im done with all the threads and articles, but I decided to rewatch the entire series. I was late to the party and binged the first 2 seasons before season 3 aired, so there was a LOT of stuff going on in the short time I crammed those first 2 seasons in and I figured I had forgot or missed a lot of important stuff (like how the Stark kids got their Dire Wolves in S01E02, I didnt remember that at all!). Im 3 episodes into season one right now and Im shocked at how many characters were there from the get go (Varys, the Hound, Littlefinger, etc) and how different a lot of the characters were in the early episodes. Rewatching is giving me a new appreciation of just how great the show was. I cant wait to revisit the big moments like Joffreys death, the Red Wedding, the Mountain crushing Oberyns skull...the list goes on and on.
