Anyone (else) get notice of being part of a Federal Wiretap? (1 Viewer)

This is going back a few months, but news reminded me of the day I get a certified letter (or something, don't remember details), open it up a little concerned as you do when someone REALLY needs you to get mail since it's rarely the lottery winning notice.

It tells me that I have been involved in conversations that were part of a Federal Wiretap. Kinda odd and struck me at first. While nothing I have done would even remotely get me targeted by wiretap - my life is simply not that exciting nor interesting - you can't help but wonder.

Anyhoo, nothing became of it for me, although my cell(phone) mate (and others) will now have cellmate. Curious if anyone else has had such a letter and your reaction.

This is why I try to include pleasant background music with all my calls. It just angers them more if they hear nothing but toilets flushing.

Well, I don't know for sure who they were targeting that I had spoken with, though it's a pretty clear conclusion to jump to.

So, the person I think they were targeting ended up being tried and found guilty, along with others.
