Anyone else starting Leon Washington this week? (1 Viewer)

Same here... i have 9 players on my team having a bye week... so leon is the guy... but, he did pretty decent last week.. GO LEON! :)

I'm also starting Leon this week, due to bye week blues. I'm hoping for 85 total yards and a TD. That would put a good sized smile on my face. :excited:

Hit by week 6-7 "Death Valley" bye issues too, so I'm rolling him out. That Miami run D is very good though...they pretty much stoned the Pats. 70 total and 1 would be nice. Maybe he goes crazy though and it's the start of something great!

Hmmm... let's see. He's not starting, he plays for a team with a weak run-blocking line, and he's playing against one of the ebst run defenses in the league.

WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE SMOKING?

Nobody should be starting him, and you'll be lucky toget 10 total touches and maybe 50 yrds, no TDs.

For some teams it's the only option...what's so hard to understand about that. I'd rather have a 10 next to my RB2 over a O. With the bye week you do what you have to?

Take your chance with Mack Strong or you plug in Leon who's taking over the job between the 20's probably?

Im giving up on JLewis and starting Leon. I have absolutely no confidence with my RB2/RB3 right now.

75 yds rushing and a TD with a few receptions sprinkled in :banned:

What in the hell is Mangini smoking is my question. He piled up 100+ against JAC and no Jets rusher has gone for more than 50 yards all season. Barlow hasn't been productive since, well, three years ago? Are they starting him simply in the vain hope of proving that they didn't make a colossal mistake in trading for Barlow?

I grabbed him only for weeks 7-9. I don't really need him now, but thought he would be helpful later. Figure I'll hold onto him for now, given this news. Who knows? Maybe he'll spark something down in MIA and take over the reigns by next week.

Seriously, how has he not won the job already? They haven't had a single back ruch for over 50 yards! That's pathetic. This guy gets his first chance against one of the toughest teams in the league and runs away with it, and isn't the starter? Seriously, what kind of rocks is that coaching staff smoking? Anyone? Jets fans? This doesn't make any sense at all...

Patience, grasshopper. I think the staff still needs to evaluate whether Leon can take the pounding, and thus greatly increase his role.

FWIW, Tatum Bell wasn't the starter either...

I agree with Zamboni here. I think the Jets want to ease him in and make sure he can handle the load. I honestly don't think there's a question that he has the most skills of all the RB's on the team, outside of Curtis Martin of course.

I know, but if they want something that can simply take a pounding why not put a freaking rock back there. I mean, NO ONE on that team has shown they can run the ball even reasonably well other than Washington. Why go with a complete and proven failure in Barlow? Where is the logic in that? And if Washington can't take a pounding, what use is he going to be of to them?

I'm starting him also...... Have to start either him or Barlow and I'm on the Leon train.... (at least this week I am)!

I only smoke the finest herbs.Thats besides the point -- I have LJordan, Benson, Big Leon (CTaylor on bye) to match with Tjones.Leon catches passes, I get a PPR -- Leon it is. Even against a bad D matchup, he'll get some points. And don't underestimate the Jets in a division matchup, they play well in those games just about every time.
