I'll add an angle I haven't seen discussed here. I had a G35 Coupe from December 2002 until mid 2012. 10 years, ~110,000 miles. I got one of the first G35 Coupes to come out. I still think the 1st generation G35 Coupes were among the most beautiful mainstream cars ever made. I had 110,000 relatively trouble-free miles on mine. The first 90,000 or so as a daily-driver, then as a weekend/fun car after I got an SUV. I ultimately sold it to my sister-in-law's brother and got another sports car...
Anyway, I digress...My biggest issue with Infiniti is that their service departments are the lowest of the low. I had nothing but issues with two different Infiniti service departments. Cost for routine maintenance was almost comical ($800 to replace the front brake PADS on the OEM Brembos). I got a set of new tires from the service department, along with an alignment. After a scant 3,000 miles, the rears were bald on the inside edge down to the belts. I took it back and the service manager said that I "must've been burning rubber a lot," and refused to do anything. I asked how a properly aligned car can "burn rubber" on the inside edge of the tires only, then demanded to see the alignment spec sheet, which he couldn't produce. I've never been treated so badly in my life. Horrible horrible service. There are other stories...and maybe I just picked 2 bad apples...but the service departments alone are why I don't know if I'd buy another Infiniti.
