Anyone lose their Directv signal? (1 Viewer)

I'm in Central Pennsylvania...Harrisburg area....storm hit about an hour ago or so and my signal is totally dead. First time this has ever happened....anyone else?

Try cutting the power to the receiver for about 30 seconds. When it comes back on, go into MENU and then exit and see if it gives you a status % of acquiring signal. That's what I do when it gets bad up here in ND (we get LOT of 50mph+ winds so this happens on occasion to me).

Or hit the reset button, which also does the signal search.

The only thing that knocks ours out here in No. Michigan is heavy, heavy rain....Or 15 inches of snow on the dish overnight.

If you have heavy rain in the area that's what it probably is.

The reset button works wonders if the signal isn't right after the rain lets up.

Happens alot here in FL, doesn't usually last long, if the reset doesn't work, try a "hard" reset, unplug the incomming cable, and the power, wait 15 seconds, then press any button on the front of the receiver(drains all the residual juice). Hook it back up. DTV has a forum that customers who know what their talking about help electronically impaired like me, they have helped me out many times, better than the hour long phone call to DTV.

I have next to no signal right now, but it's downpouring outside.

Generally, I have no complaints with DirecTV. With cable, I found you got less for the most money.

No signal here in NY in a downpour.

Anytime there is lightning or rain I can't watch TV - the only negative thing about DirecTV - and the price I pay for ST.
