With the latest news about Cutler, is anyone going to pick him up and hope he will start? Denver has a great playoff schedule in weeks 15 and 16. McNair is my backup to McNabb, but that doesn't excite me too much. Anyone think he will be good and believe this rumor to be true?

I am picking up Cutler & Brooks tonight to add my QBBC to replace McNabb.
Not sure if a rookie QB in his first few starts is anything to get excited over, but I don't have too many options at this point. Cutler is worth a flyer IMO.

If you're a McNabb owner (as I am/was) I don't see it as 'rolling the dice'. I'm covering myself with the Cutler-Young combo as a back-up to Big Ben now.

With McNabb out, I have A Smith, C Frye, and I just picked up Garcia. I'm not happy with any of these options. I have to win my next 2 games and I' actually considering dropping Garcia (who I just picked up today) 
for Cutler. Who knows maybe he will start off hot and take me to the Super Bowl. He has a decent playoff schedule. Problem is, if Plummer pulls a great game out of his a**, will Shanny keep him in against Seattle. 
Then I dropped Garcia for nothing...I hate these kinds of decisions!

Plummer is actually my #2 behind Brees. I cut him today for Cutler. He can't do any worse than Plummer, and all reports show indicate that Cutler will start vs. Seattle. I am surprised it hasn't happened before now.gman06 said:

I took a flyer this week on Cutler in 2 leagues.
In one league I dropped Plummer and picked up Cutler. This is start 1 QB league and Plummer was 4th on my team's depth chart. No big gamble with that move.
In another league I took a little more risk. This is a Super Flex league (can start a 2nd QB at Flex). I only have Harrington and Favre and usually like to carry 3 QBs. I could have picked up Brooks (nice schedule later) or Garcia (I think he's shot), but I opted for Cutler. I dropped A-Train (don't like his matchup this week and it looks like McGahee will be back by Week 13/14) as he became expendable because I also picked up Justin Fargas.
I think that the above kind of roster trade offs are about where it makes sense to roster Cutler in a redraft league. If you really need a QB to get points, go with Brooks or Garcia as they are known starters.

The first thing I did when I heard of the possibility was to check the week 14, 15, and 16 schedule.It didn't take long before I snatched up Cutler.I'm holding Vick, but grabbed A.Smith and Cutler for possible playoff plug ins.With Walker and Rod, Cutler is worth a gamble. It won't take but a week or two to get the answer. Plummer has be horrible this year and I don't see Denver going into the playoffs feeling good about their chances with Plummer playing like he has been. Better to let Plummer do the dirty work to get them in and then put in the rookie with a few warm up games before playoff time.gman06 said:
