Anyone starting Santana Moss this week? (1 Viewer)

Just curious what most think he may do tomorrow against one of the league's worst secondaries. Not sure if he's 100%, but he is no longer on the injury report and is starting. And Campbell has looked pretty good in his 2 starts, and obviously throws a MUCH better deep ball than Brunell.

Thoughts from here on out?

I'm not going to until I'm convinced that not only is he 100% healthy but also has a chemistry with Campbell and starts putting up numbers.

Brunell and Moss had an unflappable connection, and Brunell always looked to Moss first.

Campbells unwillingness to lock in on Moss (a good thing for real football, but bad for fantasy owners of Moss) leads me to believe his big games might be done for at least this year.

If I don't see something soon, I might just release him honestly and grab someone else for my fantasy playoffs.

Santana Moss has only scored in ONE single game this year. The guy is the definition of boom or bust. I for one wouldn't want to be starting this guy every week and hoping for that 150/2 game. Same goes for Chris Chambers.

I'm contemplating starting him in my flex spot in a ppr league over Thomas Jones who's going up against Min.

Start Santana Moss the rest of the way. He's had time to recover from his injury. I grabbed him cheaply 4 weeks ago and this is the first week I'll be starting him.

I agree. Although Moss is an absolute burner, he was successful last year because of chemistry, not a strong arm. Don't confuse this situation with R. Moss/Culpepper.

I'm looking for him to have a good game this week. Having said that I would not be a bit surprised if he goes for only a few catches and yards.

Probably going to start him, but more out of necessity then anything, with Colston looking like he won't play this week.

i need to see a good week out of him before i start him. hamstrings are just too tricky for a WR.

i would not start him over betts.

Go pick up Nate Washington.
I just took Washington out and put Moss in. Hope you right Chaz. Playoffs start next week and my team is limping in. Guys like Moss are great for teams like mine, he has that boom ability which is huge when your going to be facing LT or LJ in the first round.

What I hope is Moss steps it up. He's finally healthy, practicing, and getting reps with Campbell. If Was is going to win, they need to strectch the field. At some point, Moss will have one of those huge games again. If you can stick him in as a #3 or #4, there is some definite upside. I HOPE.

:yes:I needed to see it happen first, but today's results make sense. Moss is their best deep threat and Campbell has the arm to throw it deep, not just on fly routes or the deep post, but also on the deep out and other useful routes that Moss runs well. It was interesting to me that Moss got as much attention as he did from Campbell while Cooley got little attention after Cooley had two nice games in a row with Campbell. It may have just been the defensive matchup, but this was Moss' first fully healthy game with Campbell starting. Campbell definitely belongs in the lineup and has shown that his continued NFL education is best done on the field from here on out and not on the sideline.

Completely agree. Felt wrong having Burress, Reggie Brown and S.Moss on my bench this week in one of my leagues... but such is the way of fantasy football.I'll be glad to pencil him back in the lineup next week.

(by the way, was starting Cotchery, Nate Washington, Chris Henry).

I'm starting him. No reason to believe last week was a fluke.
