Anyone starting Shockey with confidence? (1 Viewer)

Not sure if he'll get all the snaps, but are people starting the likes Olsen, Miller, etc. over Shockey or are you confident in starting him??

I am, but not with confidence. I'm starting Shockey because my team is studly at the other positions and my backup for him has been Billy Miller. I think Shockey will get limited reps, but I think there's a better chance that Shockey gets the important few catches than Miller. Luckily, I'm hoping to not need the TE production this week... That's the hope.

I am reluctantly starting Olsen over Shockey. Tough matchup, just back from injury, possibly limited reps, etc....I can't have that many question marks for a starter. Now of course this means Shockey will have a big game...

As of now I'm starting him, but not with confidence. Was actually thinking about picking up Robert Royal against SD and starting him as I am already starting his QB Edwards as a bye week fill in.

At this moment, I have him starting over Scaife. I was 50/50 on it, so, I went to my 22-month old son. Left hand was Shockey, right hand was Scaife, he picked Shockey.

I picked up Shockey this week and as of now, I've got Carlson starting. Will probably jump w/ Shockey but not with a ton of confidence. However, it's not like Carlson is such a significantly better bet w/ Seneca and Frye.

Unless you've got Witten, Cooley, Daniels, Gates, Scaife, Gonzalez and maybe Olsen, you might as well throw him out there and see what you get.

no, but he's behind daniels (manditory TE league)

obviously, if I were dealing with a bye or a lower-end TE, then yes, but I don't know about the confidence part.

2 or 3 receptions? maybe 40 yards? hope for a RZ TD? That's they way I'd be looking at it.

I don't like this move. Gage is unlikely to even suit up (link). Even when healthy McCareins isn't much of a factor.

CJ3 is the only other guy who will be in line for receptions (12).

Bo has the potential for a much better day than Shockey.

Thanks for the heads up. I just saw that both Gage and McCareins are confirmed as inactive, so, I've changed to Scaife, as, I'm not sure who else is going to be catching passes for the Titans.
