I've never bought his stuff, but his columns/chats on ESPN are usually pretty good, especially with regards to CB matchups. His calls on which teams are better at defending WR1s vs. 2s are almost always money.
Then again, I don't do any independent research on CB matchups--maybe what he's saying is too basic to be worth it if you do that sort of work yourself.
I used his stuff before he joined ESPN, years and years ago. Very interesting take, but at the time it wasn't really fantasy-focused. He kind of tried to shoehorn in a fantasy perspective but didn't quite get it to work. Never followed up to see if he improved.
I always thought it was a very interesting angle on analysis. If one was able to best identify WR/Defender matchups in individual games ahead of time, it could be a strong leg up on the competition.
