F that.

Tried Duos today - 4 times.  2 had to drop on train, and die in 2secs, 1 trials- same result, 4th didn't like where I dropped, so I was solo.
sounds the exact same when i play random duos in fortnite. always with some rando with their own agenda

Damn.  Son had another 10 kill game today.

Played a little today and felt like I am hitting a little more.  Dropped my sensitivity down, and realizing how much I need to get my aim higher before shooting - probably dont adjust up enough after looting.  .  Also trying to burst fire more, and seemed to do quite a bit of damage with the 99.

Also, the lack of gin during the day helps too.

What gun combo is your son using.  Also are you guys using same account/settings?
He has been playing with his friends on the ps4 while I am on the xbox.  I think he has his sensitivity to 5.

He says always looks for R99.  The game today he that + Devotion.  Otherwise he says he pairs the 99 with a peacekeeper, hemlock, or flatline.   Uses the last 2 on single fire, then charges in with the 99.

Yeah I think one thing we need to figure out is when we spot a group / how to approach them. Best method of attacking or just bait them towards us then bombard with throwables. If we can figure out confrontations we will start dominating. I feel like we stand around and are asking each other what we should do.  If we can cut that dead time out and push we could probably be more successful.   Also start third party people when they’re fighting - clean up all the death boxes

i was playing solo fortnite earlier running towards gunfire, saw two other dudes approaching so 4 people total. When the last two were almost dead I went in and pump shotty once and they all drop. Tons of loot and won the game

I know I am a bit less aggressive when playing with you guys because I know I am the worst of the bunch and try not to charge in like a ####### and irritate you guys.

When playing solo I dont care as much if I die or irritate my teammates.

You play like you want. If being more aggressive is how we die, I'd rather go down fighting than sitting idle and getting picked off.  You won't irritate me at all.  Feel free to take the lead and push a team at any time.  Just a bunch of dads who are relaxing. Lol

Big League made some good points. I think as long as we all communicate consistently and stick close together, we're going to start winning more consistently. We're definitely not far off. We get deep on a regular basis.  I think if we are a little more strategic with our approach and act more decisively, the wins will come.  Hx/Ryodan is a really good squad leader. One of the most important things is putting the other team down a man quickly before we put down a man. Always the turning point.

For sure, and I get what you are saying.    Some is the booze, but I do lose track of the team a bit sometimes at night, and I feel like I am out of position - either lagging behind on the map, or just my lack of being able to tell WTF people are in battle - around corners, multiple levels, etc..      So yeah - communicating and moving is key, but I know I need to work on part 2 more.  Probably why I started using Bloodhound more, but there are multiple times a night where one of you are battling somebody and I have 0 clue where they or you are.

Might be better if I do charge in more since I am the worst - just send in somebody to eat up bullets and see where the squad is and hopefully do some damage before biting it.  ;)   Don't want me being the one that has to get through a couple players in case one of you goes down and needs a res.

But yeah - this is a fun way to blow of steam at night for sure, just thought after a year or so I would be better - but like you've said about you not playing games for years, I did but I never played anything like COD or similar.  It was just Skyrim/Fallout type of games that didn't require aim.

Exactly. A lot of these folks have been playing this type of stuff for years and a lot more frequently than us.  I could definitely do a lot better at communicating what I'm doing sometimes.

I don't know if being the bullet catcher and getting downed quickly is the best approach. It's always situational, but I think having your best fighter out front and your Path flanking quickly or getting high ground is essential. If we can team up on the same opponent quickly, we can put them down a man from the start and usually be favored.  I think it's vital spotting a team first and making a move on them first or bailing before they see us.

Feels like my best combo needs to have one that has the ability to have a 3x+ scope on it (I like the Flatline since it has the single or auto option, seems like I have been using the G7 a little better the last couple days too).  I am still having trouble seeing stuff in the distance, and for sure need a little help when scanning the distance for baddies.

I think the other thing is getting back to thinking about how many bullets I am toting and maybe having a few more throwables, especially at the end of the game.  Today I was laughing again because I was toting 300-400 bullets, but why - if we kill a couple people, we can get more bullets, if not I am dead anyway.

Today focusing on burst firing the 99, Flatline, and Spitfire seemed to help hit a few more shots for sure, as is the simple things like making sure my site is center to a door when going through, etc.. that I need to make second nature.

Lol.  The kid my son plays with is better than him.  His goal was 500 kills fo the weekend.  My just said he was at 394 since yesterday.

Right. Another habit to get used to is tracking with your scope. Practice tracking targets in firing range until you can do it consistently and stick with that setting. It's personal preference but I'm now on Classic response with none on aim dead zone and small movement dead zone.  Field of vision at 95.  I won't get into sensitivity because mine is weird because of the elite controller settings.

Get some!

Just had a 6 kill game with a 7th knocked down right before we died.  I think that is my highest.

Only one win but a lot of solid games tonight.  By far the best night as a team.  I think now that we're starting to take down squads consistently, we have to work on putting ourselves in better position to quit quitting pinched every time by the end.

I think in the last one maybe we jumped in the middle too quick?

I assume most of the time the first squad in is greeted by multiple squads as they come in with the ring?

Like you said- fun night though!

You're probably right. I just heard the other teams fighting on the other side of the hill and was hoping we could 3rd party them and stay on top. Unfortunately, the team underneath of us ended up 4th partying us and taking the high ground anyway.

Yeah, it is a crap shoot unless you know exactly where everyone is.

I wonder if the squad in Harvester knew we were on the roof, or we would have surprised them as they came up.

Kind of like with the Lifeline drop giving position away, as soon as you scan with Bloodhound people know you are there and what direction you are.

Fun night, and getting more aggressive as a squad! I am sure I will be on a bit tonight. (Maybe rockin a new monitor..)

Yeah, they definitely knew we were up there. I'm sure they could hear us walking around above them. Could've possibly thrown the zip and quit walking around and waited for them to come up and tried to fool them into thinking we had already taken the zip up top of the hill.

Being more aggressive, we're still likely going to lose a lot of those battles, but we'll begin to win more and more of them like last night.

Played a couple today. 1 game 5 for 974 damage with only 1 teammate in trios. Finished off 4 squads with just the two of us. Finished 4th.

11 kills 1950 damage for the solo win after teammates ditched me 30 seconds in.

3rd time ive been over 1900 damage.. still never 2k.

Also - I want to thank those last 2 squads for getting greedy and walking right into my bunker room to loot all the death boxes.  Locking a full squad into a room with traps and just watching the slow deaths through the window is the best thing in the game.   :lmao:

That's awesome.  I wish I could get used to Caustic like that.  I like the idea of him, but just seem to drop traps in bad spots, or we get caught in the open.

One tip I did start using is dropping them while healing myself or a teammate and shooting them as an enemy is coming instead of waiting for them to trip it or tosk them shooting it.

Aldo the last game I used him I did a bit of damage unleashing gas + fire grenades at a team.
