Seriously, that you'd see fit to type out that semi-coherent screed like your opinion is important or needs to be lodged with me or registered publicly for everyone is a level of hubris that is sort of breathtaking. Sit and read what you wrote me. Families don't even allow themselves that sort of intimacy.

I'm beginning to think that our first correspondence where you sent me an unsolicited PM where you called me a slur for a male homosexual should have told me that you're just . . . well, I'll let you finish that sentence. I used that word last in like the year 2000. You're forgiven for being late the game and the slur, but now, like then, you just weren't invited. I guess that's the difference between us in the end.

He wasn't saying it's "right". He pointed out a movement taking place among young males that could be applicable to the OP's son and his group of friends.

I would imagine social media would be an appropriate place to ascertain the thoughts and what's happening among the youth of this world - where else do they hang out? The Mall?

Online's been the same since I've ever been online and that's 20 years ago. It's nothing new
