Got a win this morning playing with my son this morning using Bloodhound. Getting much more comfortable with him.

So many opinions on characters.  Son and I were watching a vid this am with a rank of the characters, and he had Wattson and Wraith top tier,  Gibby and Pathfinder 2nd, and 3rd was Bloodhound, Lifelife, and Crypto.   Just always interesting to see people that play this all the time list characters I barely use.  

Very bottom was Mirage and Revenant.  

Some interesting points he made about Wattson- I always forget she deflects incoming grenades and the gibby/Bangalore ults.  Also showed weird ways to put up fences.

That is interesting.  I haven't seen Pathfinder not in top tier in any rankings.  In most of them, he's number one.  Basically Path, Watson, Wraith, Gibby and then a few others grouped together. But Bloodhound has made a huge jump with his recent boost.

I also lose track of their updates and stuff.   Again, one video's opinion, but his point was that not Gibby does what lifeline does with the reviving, but his Ult is a lot better.  I get Wraith and Pathfinder for aggressive people because they are so mobile - I just have no control of Pathfinder's grapple in a fight.  I do like his other abilities though.    The ones I was surprised at were Wattson being so high and Bangalore/Caustic being low.  I guess I never saw how to fence in a narrow path, and like I said I forget about her Ult destroying projectiles.    After us playing with both Bagalore/Caustic the other night, I get his point too - couldn't see a ####### thing after we starting launching smoke and Nox in a building.  

Just glancing at my stats with the characters, I would say that I seem to do the best with Bloodhound and Wraith.  I played a little bit with Gibby/Wattson/Pathfinder today in a couple games.  Gibby still seems bulky and slow and the 2 games I tried Wattson there was little use for her skills as we ran around.  That is more if you know you are going to have to fortify and building or specific area.   I would assume that her + Caustic on a team would be killer in places like Bunker, maybe sorting factory, or if the ring is closing around a building like in Geyser.  They lose their power out in the open (except if you drop her Ult to counter a Gibby barrage).

For close quarters, it's really hard to beat the speed of a Prowler or R99.    I just for sure need something like a G7/Hemlock to help for midrange, as I can't hit anything for distance with either of those first 2.  

 
I'm going to stick exclusively with Bloodhound for a while to get used to him.  I feel like I contribute more to the team and it helps me to have his ultimate in every fight. There's usually enough time for it to refill between fights so I am able to use it most of the time. I'm constantly on his scanning ability, too. 

 
I know I have a ton of excuses, but I think there is a noticeable jump in competition when I play with you guys- feel like I get sniped at a lot more and get pinched by teams more.   I do wonder what ranked would look like since none of seem to play that much and would probably be bronze.

Damn old age.  Right thumb hurt like hell this morning.  I think the longer sessions on Xbox are adding up (ps4 controllers are a little smaller). 

 
Played around with my son again today. Changed response curve to steady aim and trigger dead zone to "none" and seemed to make a lot of difference.  I can't raise my sensitivity past 3. Too fast.

When you got the controller did you adjust the tension on the sticks as well?

Thought I saw a post/pick about a guitar pick looking thing that you could use to adjust the tension on the sticks.  I saw this on the Microsoft site when looking at the series 2 and what came with the controller:

Not sure. Only way I know how to adjust sensitivity is through the accessories app

 
Saw your invite, but horribly laggy tonight here.  Never seen it so bad.  Will reboot internet and xbox and try one game to see if it's still bad. 

 
It's for sure our internet, unless you are having issues too.  Even tried the ps4, and same thing.  So either our internet or their servers.  

 
:lol:  Just had the most useless teammate. 
I respawned his ### twice before dragging his ### to the final 3 teams with me. We’re perched on a hill and he’s supposed to be watch my back and is basically just standing right on me. We get ambushed  and he falls first. I knock down the guy ambushing us, revive him, then instead of throwing up his shield to protect us he tries using a med kit. Then we died.

I had 0 kills but 980 points and he had 78 :lmao:  

 
I've almost given up on getting better at this game. It's hopeless.  Stuck at a terrible 0.5 kill/death and just not getting any better. I think I'm about done.

The one I play with you on dropped below .40 kd.  It was up to a whopping .46 at one point.  

The other I have to play with new characters and aggression is at .65 or something.

It just seems pointless getting destroyed every time. If I was up closer to 1, then it would be different. I've been playing the game on and off for almost year now and I'm still terrible.  Can't see anything that's going to change that. We'll see. Hate it because it's the only game I know how to play.

Couple nights ago I played.  2 separate times I nearly got a squad wipe.  Both times I had 3rd person on the ropes before dying.  Both times I had downed squad mates right by me, and both times 0 pings telling me 3rd person was close.

Saw your invite as I was logging off - sorry.  I was in a foul ### mood and needed some sleep anyway.  Internet is working again though, so maybe in the next couple days I will blast some fools in Kings Canyon with you (and by that I mean die instantly and fall in lava.  Wait, there's no lava in KC, is there??!!)

All good. Still honing my game where i can actually be useful. Actually a pretty successful night last night.
