Well, so much for not getting one.  Stopped at the store for yet another controller, and guess what they had 1 of sitting on the shelf?   :bag:

 
My son loves this game. The one kid who he had been playing with has jumped ship to fortnite. My son plays fortnite also, but seems to like this better. Anyone have a kid who plays amd needs a buddy.

Gforce has some random 15 year old friend on the game. ;)

:wub: My kid.   You never know how teens are going to be  - I told him about Acer's kid and said that I asked how old he was and how good he was.  His reply was "why does it matter?"

Also, he added that Kiren kid Gforce played with.  LOL.  I just hear from the other room - "oh snap - he has almost 1800 kills just on Octane??!"

Yeah man. Kiren kid was dominating. I think I had 7 kills that game from basically cleaning up after him. 

 
I'll post my settings in here I use on my Elite controller to give you a starting point, Karma. Took me a couple months to get them just right.

He is 10 and I have no idea how good he is. He plays all day so it would be disappointing if he wasnt good. 

Ill get his info tomorrow and post it here. If anyone wants to play with him, great.

I think my son will be down, so post that info.  Like your son, most of his friends seem to play fortnite and Minecraft (really???).  I am sure he will play with your son.

Performance?  Not really.   I like the Xbox controller more, and like the PS4 interface more.  

I thought technically one had better specs than the other, but my old ### probably couldn't tell the difference.  

 
In the xbox accessories, my right stick is set at delayed sensitivity curve and the curve adjustment is on the 3rd notch from the far Left. 

Under Apex controller settings, 

Look sensitivity 3

ADS 2

Response Curve Classic 

Look DZ None

Movement DZ Small

Interesting.  I will have to look into all this.  Did you say last night that you didn't change anything with the trigger/hair trigger settings? 

 
Well, took a video's suggestion on settings for the controller.  Button mapping a bit different too, so this could be a little bit of a learning curve as I try to implement the 2 paddles on the bottom.

@AcerFC - my son added him.  He has the unfortunate name of eatmyshorts after too many Simpsons episodes.

I tried a few different suggestions from videos but eventually had to tweak their suggestions in the firing range.

I am assuming this will be the case as well.    Honestly what will take the longest will probably be the button re-mapping, and that is what I probably need to rework in the shooting range and stick too.  I was using the jump on the paddle last night and getting used to that a little, but this is about 10 changes overall I need to untrain myself on possibly.  :lol:

 
Watching some pro on youtube play as Loba. He used her ultimate and his team grabbed all the armor they could and just dropped all 6 armor for the final battle. No shield cells needed just swap the armor

My son is almost 12 and is level 140. Joined late in Season 3? I think he’s pretty good. I love watching him play. It’s frustrating how so few have mikes, or leave them on party chat. Working as a team verbally rather than only pinging communication is a game-changer and way more fun.

He’s a team player and smart. Fun kid. Very animated.

If any of you guys or your kids want to add him he’s CalvinClyne1234. Thanks.

Got the kids headset in today, and I drank all the booze in the house so I will be on tonight early figuring out how I want to have my button mapping and will be trying his headset to see if I want to order one of those for myself.  Be interested if one are you are on to see how the mic sounds and such.

As long as the ping isn’t complete #### like last night I’ll be on. Was playing a dew

matches earlier and all servers went down. Seems much better ping now.  Also changed colorblind mode to tritanope and feel like it’s a huge change. Yellow crosshairs much easier for me to see

The kid swears by his colorblind mode too - he uses the one where the digi scope is blue for enemies.  That was also the suggestion from the video I watched the other night too.
