Are all 3 Thanksgiving games on regular TV? (1 Viewer)

The Denver/KC game is on the NFL Network...

If you don't have it, you won't see it, unless you go to a bar...

Hating NFL Network...

It is not like it is a paid station that you can add. You are at the mercy of your cable provider. Comcast here does not offer it.

Anyone want to point there webcam at the tv for those of us that would love to see the game? :D

This is NFL Network's whole ploy to motivate fans to force their cable companies to add it to the lineup.

I think that the NFL Network is only availible to Direct TV. Your Cable company can not add it. I just switched from Direct TV to Cable today.....I am hoping I can hook back into the Direct tv on Thursday for the game.

DirecTV, Dish Network, and some cable companies carry NFLN. The big standoff is between NFLN and Time Warner. Time Warner claims NFLN charges too much for them to carry the station, and boths sides are involved in aggressive ad campaigns based around this.

any cable system can carry the nfl network, if they want to charge the consumer the price that the nfl network is charging.

in the dc/baltimore are, both comcast and verizon carry the nfl network in hd.

All I can say to those who don't have access to NFLN is that it is absolutely awesome. It has quickly become just about the only tv station I watch. The NFL Replay during the week is a great way to see games you wouldn't normally have the chance to watch....and I love that they are throwing in some eye candy with the Cheerleaders. Lobby your legislators to get this channel!

Legislators have nothing to do with it. It's cable companies.

Then lobby them! My only point was do what you to do to get NFLN....beg, borrow, steal, etc...it is worth it!

 Got it through Comcast Cable here in Atlanta. Watching it right now as a matter of fact.
Really? That gives me hope that I will someday have the NFLN again! :banned:
If you're with Time Warner, you're currently SOL. They're refusing to carry it as they say the rates NFLN is charging are out of whack & NFLN is trying to get all carriers to pigeon them as part of their basic package.A quick search of this forum brought up a bunch of existing threads discussing this in detail.

Does your cable TV have NFL Network?, Get NFL Network back on your cable provider

NFL Network being dropped, in certain markets

NFL Network on Cable TV, Time Warner making strides...

Cablevision = no NFL network Time Warner to, Let them know we want it!

NFL Network... Adelphia... Time Warner, unless a deal is struck soon... bye NFLC

Congress is also looking into the whole Sunday Ticket thing with Direct TV. They're seeing it as possibly being a monopoly & violating anti-trust laws.

Congress investigating NFLs monopoly deal with DirectTV?, Could this open up Sunday Ticket or will NFL prevail?

People should call their local cable companies that don't have NFLN. Pretend to be an interested customer. Ask if they have NFLN. When they say no, then tell them you are not interested then and hang up. They'll get the message if they get enough calls.

Not always an option. If you're in a tree hugging community that has city ordinances prohibiting the cutting of trees for just any old reason & it's trees blocking the signal...DirecTV is not an option. Then you might be like me & have huge mature Oak shade trees & don't want to sacrifice the energy savings or devalue your property & it's trees blocking the signal...DirecTV is not an option.Or you might be getting your high speed internet through your cable & don't feel like losing the $120.00 per year price break you get by bundling the internet & TV service together with Cable...DirecTV is not an option.

Look people, the NFL is a business, and the games are one of its products.

You don't have a "right" to watch these games for free. If you don't like what the NFL is doing, boycott their product.

And don't say DirecTV isn't an option when actually it is, it's just an option you're not willing to pay for.

Life sucks, get a helmet.

Actually, if you're in any decent size market, your local phone provider (SBC, in our area) offers a home phone/cell phone/DSL bundle with similar cost savings to the "triple play" cable variety. Note: Check into it - you're not saving as much as they'd like you to think you are - and make sure you're comparing the same channels/services. We got the 3 for $33 each (for 12 months) - then found out it didn't include modem rental costs, all the channels (it would cost about $25 extra to bring the cable package up to par with the same channels Direct TV was providing), and a few other "minor" charges that basically would have had a net result of saving us $5-$8/month (and only for the first 12 months - after that BAM! Honeymoon's over, everyone back on your heads)Second, don't cut the trees - just build a 25' tower on your roof. YWIA.

Don't have DirecTv and want to see all the NFL games?Ignore the first 5 posts or so as they're not applicable & then the rest of thread talks about streamtv & TVU
How has your experience been with this? No problem getting every game each week?

Blew off the phone company & their usury rates several years ago in favor of VoIP.I've got unlimited calling throughout the entire world, can take my local phone number with me wherever I go in the world, plug in the TA to a high speed connection & viola` my Atlanta number rings, Hi Def Cable with expanded package & 6.0 Mbps broadband internet, all for $80.00 per month.Telco companies don't even have 6.0 Mbps DSL broadband speeds & certainly don't offer unlimited calling throughout the world, let alone give you the ability for your local number to ring in Russia or wherever the heck you are.Checking into the local Telco's offer of their phone service, slower DSL & comparable DirectTV package to what I'm getting with Cable, it was going to end up being around $120.00 per month after taxes.Just couldn't see paying them almost $500.00 a year more & getting a helluva lot less.

The irony is priceless: we finally have a worthwhile game on Thanksgiving, and a lot of the country won't be able to watch it.

 Might want to read this thread a tad more thoroughly. I'm not the one complaining. It's others who don't get NFL Network & don't have DirectTV, not me.

no.

you don't have NFL-N, you don't get the game.

T-W is about to lose HUGE market share to DirecTV abd other satellite providers that WILL give customers the NFL-N

what i don't understand is that charter had it as part of a special sports tier on digital cable but then dropped it a year ago. doesn't make any sense.

I think alot of people are getting confused over the NFLN and the Sunday Ticket.

I have Adelphia/Comcast and I get the NFLN but as a cable subscriber, the ticket isn't available.

I didn't know that the game was going to be broadcasted here in Colorado on a local channel. I went and got my parents an HD box from Adelphia so they could see this game. Oh well, they are happy with it.

I got Verizon Fios in my area in Sept. and I got rid of my Brighthouse cable and got Verizon so I could get Nfl network and their fiber optic high speed internet is a lot faster then I had with Road Runner. :( :)

does streamtvnow still exist or is it just a forum? Comcast has NFL network here in its pricey package but I can't justify spending that much when all I watch is football and House. Could go to a friends house but planting yourself on someone elses couch till 12:30 am when they have to go to work the next morning might be considered rude.

TVU doesn't have NFL Network, but the quailty is excellent, good for when you're stuck with a sucky game on the local station.

You should be hating Comcast...for the crazy amounts they charge (like $15 to $20 more a month then the other cable companies in my area) they should provide the NFL Network instead of a 5th spanish channel or 4th cooking channel that no one watches anyway but is cheap so they can say they offer a lot of channels.
