Are you sitting McNabb if Westy is out? (1 Viewer)

From CBS

Eagles RB Brian Westbrook (abdomen) practiced Thursday for the second day in a row and should be all set to go Week 6 against the Jets. He is listed as probable this week.

(Updated 10/11/2007).

Should be fine.

Im not sure what every other McNabb owners options are, put Im sitting him and starting Romo.

I don't like the matchup vs. NE, and although D-Mac has a good matchup, I won't start him until he puts together a few *decent* games in a row. He's had 1 career game and 3 clunkers.

Im not rolling the dice on him in a big matchup for me this week

Mcnabb hasnt been good all season, except for the game against Detroit. Hmmm who hasnt. Mcnabb should only be used against low ranked passing defenses, unless you have another solid starter, for example Jon Kitna. I would even be playing D. Anderson over Mcnabb every week.

IMHO The lack of Westy isn't the problem, the O-line giving up 12 sacks is.

C-Buck had 103 rushing and was the leading reciever (4-35) in Westy's absence. Not Westbrook but pretty solid. Hard to say weather Westbrook would have made much of a difference in that game, but I don't think so.

like another poster said, you're missing the boat . . .

the key is LT William Thomas - if he's in, McNabb is a must start against the Jets . . . TE LJ Smith is a bonus (he has also missed time) . . .

Is William's knee strain the same one he had surgery on earlier this year?

Uh....Eagles play the Jets this week. The Jets made Edwards look like a stud. Pennington looked good against the Jets. If your players are going against the Jets, you start them, period.

how did Pennington look good against the Jets? Have you been watching practice or something?yinzer> Romo is the #2 QB in all of FF so far. You should be starting him regardless of McNabbs match-up.

Unfortunately, I have no choice. My backup/quasi-QB1b Roethlisberger is on the BYE. I have Westy/C-Buck in my other league, and plan on starting both of them, so in other words, I expect Westbrook to at least split duties with C-Buck this week.

Analysis: Westbrook should play this week and is definitely a must-start in all Fantasy leagues. The Jets are No. 25 against the run, so Westbrook should be in line for a big day.

CBS

Doesn't look like this will be an issue.

The Jets are totally inept at rushing the passer and getting sacks. That is the main concern with McNabb. If there's any week to start him, this is it.

This is why I shouldn't post right after I wake up. :lmao:

More potentially good news for McNabb owners, this time from Rotoworld:

William Thomas (knee) returned to practice Thursday and reportedly "appeared confident" that he'll be able to play Sunday against the Jets."It felt good to be able to get out there and get a little practice in and move around," Thomas said. "A lot of prayer and rehab went into it." If Thomas can't go in Week 6, Winston Justice will get another start in his place.Source: Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News
