What do the sharks think? Cardinals at home versus The Rams. Is their D a sneaky play? Rams seem to be very generous with their turnovers, especially on the road. Opinions?

:goodposting:

Right now I have them in my lineup over the Ravens D. Washington does not turn the ball over usually. Bulger and the hapless Rams could cough it up 5 times as they're definitely playing from behind in this one. Well behind.

I dunno about sneaky. Theve been a top 10 def all year and play the lowly STL offense.
maybe semi-sneaky given that ARZ defense has blown chunks in recent weeks. They are the #11 defense in my league for the season, but have posted consecutive weeks of -2 pts (we allow up to -3 for both yardage and pts allowed, for a lowest possible score of -6 if the defense has no sacks/turnovers). Given the Rams aren't the Giants or Eagles, but they also aren't necessarily the Rams we have seen most of this season either (with SJax back).I am on the fence about whether or not I think they will be a good play this week. I see them as an average play at this point, but if you are looking at the waiver wire they might be your best possibility.

I was thinking mainly of sacks and turnovers. Zona coming home after getting mauled their last game, wanting to clinch the division with a win. They seem to play much better at home. Yardage allowed aside,I think they make a very good play this week.

You had to see the last 2 weeks coming for the Arizona defense. They were going up against a Giants offense that is basically running over the entire NFL. Then, they had to travel cross country to play a fired up Eagles team on 3 days of rest. I think the Arizona D should be a great play this week on 10 days of rest.

Arizona is my "start vs SF or St. Louis" D on my roster. Starting them over Balt D. Generally, you don't want to go on the road to play a team that just got blown out on the road. Think Balt D at home against Philly after the embarrassment to the Giants.

Arizona is going to be fired up and out for blood against a crappy team. They are going to be up big and teeing off like a track meet. I always like playing defenses that get the other team into a position where they are forced to abandon the run; points for fantasy d's come from sacks and interceptions.

I own the first-place team in a 14-team league. I don't draft my defense until the next-to-last pick of the draft, and then I 'game' them for the entire season, sometimes holding on to one key pickup. I usually line-up my defensive start a week in advance to beat the competition.

I picked up Arizona prior to week #12, and they are my start this coming week. Miami was my start last week against the Rams, and that worked out fine.

There really isn't much risk in starting any defense against the Rams. Their offensive line is horrible and Steven Jackson is incredibly over-rated. The St. Louis defense, if you can call it that, will allow the opponent to get out to a lead, which leads the team to throwing the ball more often, thus producing sacks and interceptions.

Plus, I would expect Kurt Warner to have a banner game against the team he led to glory once upon a time.

So, in my opinion, Arizona at home versus St. Louis is a five-star start.

I am starting them with confidence this week as well. The past two weeks I rolled with Dallas. This week it is Arizona time.

This isnt a sneaky play, its a smart play. AZ can rush the passer. Just ask Romo. Another posted made the very apt comment about their last 2 weeks sucking because of the Gianst and short-week Eagles. But if you look beyond that, they have generally put up solid numbers the rest of the season.

I'm trying to decide between this "sneaky" play and Indy at home against Cincy.
